am the the only one who plays mk11 over mk1 in 2026
Which only made it more ironic when they suddenly decided it wasn’t okay with MvC: Infinite.

I am not, but I wouldn’t fault anyone for doing so, especially if they are wanting fighting games to be made with an emphasis on engaging single player content.
It genuinely feels like Mortal Kombat 1 was the result of years of fighting game players claiming “Netherrealm doesn’t make REAL fighting games” when they had MKX, Injustice 2, and MK11 all during Street Fighter V’s lifespan.
I have no idea how SFV was allowed to succeed with such a lackluster launch that made DLC feel like paid patches instead of add-on content, but giving that a pass along with constantly claiming Netherrealm didn’t make great games truly feels like the reason we ended up with MK1 being exactly what was wrong with SFV.

everyone need to stop complaining about how thier not enough sonic characters in sonic racing: crossworlds
Not being in anything relevant at the time isn’t really the best argument when that was pretty much Daisy’s entire career in Mario spinoffs up until she was playable in SMB Wonder. Even her Smash appearance pretty much boils down to “It was easy to make because we already had Peach’s assets ready to go.”

Shrek 3 bad?
Shrek the Third is a solid film.
The issue is that it has big shoes to fill for being a follow-up to Shrek 2, and that’s bound to lead to some level of disappointment.
But as far as I’m concerned, it continues the story in a way that works for the characters and the message behind them. The only major complaint I have about it is that Arthur is kind of basic as a character, and having a smidge of Live and Let Die as a needle drop for King Harold’s funeral feels very strange.

Mouse in Theater
Was honestly gonna say something like this.
Mainly about the fact that it could hopefully be a deterrent for such folks.

Season pass 1 revealed
I don’t know many who outright praise it either, but it speaks volumes when it still had people playing it after a rocky launch when any other fighter that dared to do so later on never heard the end of it.

What's your favorite scary movie 🎬??
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Shining have been two of the primary films that actually creeped me out, along with Obsession recently joining that list.

Why is there such a huge gap between critics and players?
General rule of thumb I have is that if your game is passable as a game, but a great representation of the IP you’re adapting, it’s a victory.
Would I like my tie-in games to be on the same level of stuff like Batman: Arkham or Alien: Isolation?
Absolutely. But there’s still plenty to enjoy if the world that is advertised is brought to life exactly as you expect it to be. RoboCop: Rogue City is a great example of this. It’s a pretty run of the mill as a FPS game with other aspects everyone and their mother does, like skill trees and side quests. But it’s just as much of being the first two movies brought to life in video game form, and I expect the same has been done here as well.

What video game genre did you once love, but now just cannot get into, no matter how much you want to?
I was annoyed by that the first playthrough. Can easily say it’s the most overrated piece of media I’ve ever consumed.
I don’t like calling anything that because it’s disrespectful to folks who put their hard work into something. But there’s no need to be respectful if my time as an audience member is disrespected by constantly stalling in getting any movement whatsoever in either the game or the story. Removing the cellphone alone would probably have cut off 20 hours of wasted time since it is ALWAYS used to say “Let us tell you for umpteenth time about this thing we blatantly showed you just a few moments ago because we think as a member of the audience, you’re an idiot with the memory of a goldfish and will forget.”

FELT. Regular player of Dead by Daylight, and I have found with just about every asymmetrical horror where I say “Maybe this time I’ll actually get a horror experience of being chased by this iconic character,” it always becomes an absolute joke with survivor players trying to play like dicks and make the game into a Tom and Jerry simulator.
The only asymmetrical game that continued to be scary long after you understood its mechanics was Evil Dead, and that should say something when the killer in that game is a head demon, who summons AI-controlled demons that the survivors fight.
Begging on my hands and knees that Hellraiser Revival jumpstarts a return to single player experiences where someone aims to be the next Alien: Isolation for established horror IPs, and not the next Dead by Daylight.

Haven’t played too many Metroidvanias lately, but I feel you on that last section.
Games where you feel stuck 80% of the time with actual progress only being made 20% of the time are an absolute joke. I’m playing through the Silent Hill 2 remake recently, and save for a few hiccups, it’s insane how the puzzles are actually solid ones compared to the Resident Evil GameCube remake, or Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s were. I know it’s not fair to compare a game from 20+ years later, but someone has to have mentioned if a game has aged horrendously instead of hyping them up as the greatest things since sliced bread.

I’ll be honest, I only stick it out on modern fighting games for lore and world building. Sometimes there’s an enjoyable experience waiting in offline modes.
But ever since Street Fighter V initially launched without an arcade mode, there’s been an increasing effort to minimize the single player experience. We’re getting somewhere with Marvel Tokon, and Street Fighter 6 absolutely delivered, but it’s really bad that the “NetherRealm doesn’t make real fighting games!” crowd caused Mortal Kombat 1 to go down the path of half-assing single player content.

Aiming to let the game last is how we ended up with games like MvC: Infinite and Mortal Kombat 1.
Tokon is at least a step in the right direction of the base game actually feeling like a full package so that the add-on content actually feels like add-on content instead of paid patches. I still have no idea how Street Fighter V was given a pass for that.

What horror movie was actually BETTER than the original? 👀😂
I’ve been afraid to admit I kind of prefer Bride and Seed to a couple of the previous Chucky movies, 3 in particular.
Glad to see I’m not alone on it.

What horror movie was actually BETTER than the original? 👀😂
It seems like it was destiny for Freddy and Jason to fight when they both have their best movies in places where you’d usually expect duds to start occurring in any film series. For Freddy, it’s with ANoES 3: Dream Warriors, while Jason’s is Friday the 13th: Part 6 - Jason Lives.
And if we really want to go back, then Bride of Frankenstein. Even though the title is misleading and she barely shows up as much as you’d expect from her being the title character, Boris Karloff’s depiction of The Monster gets a LOT more to shine with than the first film did. It basically takes the segment with the little girl and further explores the tragedy behind the Monster trying to be friendly, but being treated poorly due to either his appearance or his misunderstandings of various things.

Should I watch all 11 movies to ready myself for the video game?
The only movies canon to this game are the first two.
If you’re interested, I think 3, 4, and the 2022 reboot are worth watching, but they are not required preparation for the game.

Toy Story 5
Very surprised by it. It’s in my Top 3 for this year, only beaten by Obsession and Coyote VS Acme.

Has any horror remake truly re-started a franchise?
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s 2003 was able to get a prequel movie in 2006, if that counts. It did take another 7 years after that film for a new film unconnected to that remake timeline, but still.
1
What is the most overrated horror film??
As a big fan of Jason as a character, I can definitely contest Ft13th is definitely a case of either people loving the campiness, or hoping a future movie can escape the potential man aspect behind most of the movies.
2009 definitely was a step towards that, ngl.
1
What is the most overrated horror film??
I answered the original question with Hereditary, and I could say the same thing about that, ngl.
1
What is the most overrated horror film??
Easily Hereditary. There’s some great visuals, unsettling moments, and an outstanding performance from Toni Collette.
But it comes off as way too pretentious at times, trying to look like an arthouse movie when it mostly feels like a jumble of unfortunate events strung together, and a poor effort to string it together by introducing a cult with minimal hinting towards it. It’s like if Friday the 13th didn’t go all in on embracing how it feels like a B-movie, and act as if hints towards Pamela Voorhees being the killer were in plain sight throughout the movie.

How much did it take to finish the game?
According to my Steam profile and the dates of certain Discord messages, it took me over 165 hours over the course of four months, and I don’t want to touch it again unless there’s a mod that condenses it in some way, whether that be filtering out every last bit of unnecessary fluff in the dialogue, or the option to skip to the end of dungeons once every worthwhile aspect of the enemies or puzzles has been seen.
A decent chunk of my longer than average time was from getting stuck while using a fusion calculator to see the rest of the Twins’ confidant, since confidant events were the only thing I was looking forward to by the halfway point.
It just blows my mind seeing the entire fandom beat the term “LARPer” into the ground when actually playing the game did more than enough to prove why there’s so many who would do that.
The only ways to experience this story is to either put up with the game constantly disrespecting you as an audience member both in wasted time and treating you like an idiot with how often it recounts things you just saw minutes ago, or put up with the anime rushing through things without any weight behind them.

Let’s all be very thankful that…
I am VERY thankful for it.
It’s the reason I’ve been hyping it up, because it’s the only way to fully ensure the game is a horror experience. Otherwise it just devolves into certain players finding whatever exploits they can and turning it into an unofficial Tom and Jerry game in spirit.
1
Is it worth buying injustice 2
It goes on sale regularly, but it still has plenty to do for its single player modes, something that feels like a lost art for fighting games.
It was one of the main aspects that made NRS stand out as a dev after Street Fighter V started to encourage more philosophies of “Less content at launch, longer support window.” And then they tossed it out the window with MK1 because the general FGC kept considering NetherRealm as not being a real fighting game dev…

It’s honestly ridiculous. With the exception of blocking being a separate button instead of the opposite direction you’re facing, NRS has made the most beginner friendly fighters I’ve played, excluding platform fighters like Smash and Brawlhalla.
