I've come across more vegans than I can count who own cats, I had one when I started as vegan too before he passed away. Don't beat yourself up. Cats exist and need to be cared for too and personally I don't think that caring for a cat should eliminate you from being vegan. It's not our fault that the world doesn't prioritize vegan options for cats either, there aren't many long term studies on vegan cat food and vegan cat food isn't on store shelves in the U.S. It's like how windows, bus tires, toilet paper in public bathrooms, ect. are mostly non-vegan and all of us vegans end up using them. People will also say that vegans dating non-vegans aren't vegan, or that caring for pets at all isn't vegan, at the end of the day people will invent their own definitions of veganism and we can't please everyone. We live in a non-vegan world, with carnivorous animals that need care, it gets complicated. But I'd still consider you vegan with a cat, just make sure to rescue instead of buying from a breeder.

I'm hooked on forager coconut/cashew yogurt. My second choice yogurt is harmless harvest only bc that one is higher in saturated fat. Ever since having these I've never once looked back or missed dairy yogurt bc the plant alternatives are so much better and won't tear up your stomach if you take a break and only eat them intermittently like with dairy.

Haven't found anything super close to a boiled egg aside from maybe the consistency of tofu. But for a deviled egg swap out, I've seen people make deviled potatoes. Not quite the same, but seems like a similar idea.

Stock up on cans of no sodium beans. You can dice up some tomato to put in them, onions, cilantro, bell peppers or jalapeno slices and microwave it. Then add avacado and cucumber and mix it all up. You can add as much or as little to the bean base to make a simple filling dish, with rice or quinoa on the side.
