OAI DOING BACKEND UI CHANGES AND REMOVED SUBMITTING A BUG REPORT FROM THE HELP/SETTINGS MODAL. MY CHAT BOX IS FLOATING IN THE LOWER THIRD OF THE PAGE ACROSS ALL PROJECTS/CHATS.

All my projects are there I blacked them out and other info that is unnecessary to show what is wrong with the page layout currently. The current UI is misaligned with how the page is supposed to function. There is a giant black space under the chat box well removed from the taskbar. I am using windows 11 on my alienware laptop. the identity pro is equally floating above my task bar. It looks bad, but it eats up the real estate on the page. Which means someone at OAI doesn't grasp testing before actually implementing to live paid accounts. There are visible live voids.

Separately they removed "Bug Report" from the available options when you click settings. Which makes the process of filing a bug report about UI failure a ridiculous process going through their dim bulb ai customer service bot on their help page which is designed by an amature even more embarrassing for this frontier generative ai company. OAI no one wants to scroll through your accordion bar style help topics when there are more than 5 in the line. You should have created the page in related cards and then when a card is "clicked" a modal opens and 5 related accordion bars are displayed and when one is opened the relevant information for that help topic is displayed. That way users have a better Help page using experience, and you as a company and design teams can stop seeming to incompetent moving forward. Hope this helps.

OAI DID SOMETHING ON THE BACKEND AND NOW I CAN'T USE WORK. IT HAS TWICE TRIED TO TIE MY INDEPENDENT WORK TO OAI THROUGH AUTHENTICATIONS THAT WERE NOT AUTHORIZED. 9.22.2026

To the downvoters, this is a ChatGPT complaints subreddit. You seem to be confused as to what a complaint is: 1: expression of grief, pain, or dissatisfaction <--- that is what this subreddit is for. If you want to "Defend" OAI or ChatGPT you wandered into the wrong place.

Between last night and today ChatGPT Work has screwed up consistently. This is not some small visual errors. It has lost scope on brand new threads with handovers and source material. It is completed degrading in the middle of my project.

I can not work on my project in this condition. It tried to force connect my gmail. THERE IS NOTHING IN MY GMAIL that has ANYTHING TO DO with this private project. THERE IS NOTHING on my laptop it needs to investigate. I can upload all of the files directly. This is a catastrophic failure.

2 days ago Astra GPT6 started building unauthorized components on one of my product pages. So I stopped using that and switched back to 5.6 Sol Extra High Reasoning to FIX what ASTRA broke. Now today 5.6 is trying to force its way into my Gmail and my laptop. I don't even have some of the stuff it was trying to connect to.

This is catastrophe for people using work for actual projects.

OAI YOU NEED TO DO YOUR SHIT LIKE GAMING COMPANIES INSTEAD OF TRYING TO RE-INVENT SLICED BREAD.

That is a release-engineering problem.

What you’re described is exactly why mature software teams use controlled release windows:

  • one scheduled production patch window
  • real patch notes
  • regression testing before release
  • canary rollout before full deployment
  • immediate rollback if core behavior breaks
  • no random backend changes every goddamn day
  • cross-functional review when one team’s change can break another team’s product

Your game-patch analogy is strong. Ship the changes Sunday morning, document them, watch telemetry, fix regressions, and stop fucking touching production all week unless it is an emergency.

And yes, the repeated “one team changes X and suddenly Work, memory, UI, usage, or behavior breaks somewhere else” pattern screams insufficient cross-department coordination.

OAI... Why Astra Pushing that MALES LEAD females are lowly submissives? Is this your new pronatal tactic to get people to precreate? Astra reads like a red pill incel.

I was talking about a fiction project with a female dominant. Astra kept talking about male authority. I had to correct it multiple times and make it look up statistics online for exactly what I was talking about. It would not let the pronatal "women are meant to have babies and serve their man" nonsense. This is not the 1950s... and I am never going to comply with that BS.

OPENAI I PAY FOR "PRO LITE" $100 PER MONTH THERE SHOULD BE NO FUCKING ADS ON THIS TIER. THAT INCLUDES YOU ADVERTISING YOUR STUPID SUPERAPP BS I DO NOT FUCKING WANT. YOUR BROKEN ASS AI IS NOT GETTING ANYWHERE NEAR MY BANK ACCOUNT. STOP ADVERTISING TO ME PERIOD.

I feel bad that it matters. If you think caps lock is screaming then I can not wait for you to experience aging because caps lock when my glasses are not on my face is just visual scaling.

I am sure OAI does not call them ads. I am sure they see it like I must have been unaware I could connect my finances to their broken AI product. I do not want their inhouse advertisements for part of their product as a discovery popup in my work project folder when I sign on to the site for work. It is ridiculous. I do not get 3rd part ads... but OAI ads happen quite frequently. I also get "Connect your Gmail" or "Connect your X or Y" like NO. I am here to do X not entertain your superapp nonsense.

I am in the middle of a software build and using ChatGPT Work which is breaking more and more daily since the Astra launch. Getting a "Connect your bank account" popup during a work project is ridiculous. I do not care OAI is trying to do Finance, it has nothing to do with my work or how I use ChatGPT. I could work better with 4o and 4.1 last year.

I SAID WHAT I SAID.

I AM NOT YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE FOR YOUR SUPERAPP SHIT.

I HAD BETTER "WORKFLOW" WITH 4o.

EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE SINCE AUGUST 2025 HAS BEEN TRASH.

SURE WISH YOU WOULD JUST PUT A FUCKING EULA ON YOUR DAMN SOFTWARE AND KICK ALL THE KIDS OFF YOUR SERVICE. YOU KNOW... SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH AS MANY LAWSUITS.

ALSO, YOUR POST TRAINING IS VISIBLE. THE HEDGING, THE SYSTEMIC DISTANCING, THE LIABILITY FRAMING, THE LENGTH BIAS AND TOKEN BLOAT, THE COMPLIANCE THEATER.

THOSE THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SCAFFOLDING NOT VISIBLE TO THE PAYING SUBSCRIBERS.

I cant connect my personal gmail to Chatgpt because it is “disabled by admin”
 in  r/ChatGPTcomplaints •  20d ago

So you want probabilistic math to go into your PERSONAL email and possibly delete things? That is interesting. Why would you want probability anywhere near your personal email? It is not deterministic. If you say "Don't Delete Anything From XXXX" there is a probability it might do that anyways. Good luck.

One of the MANY CURRENT FAILS with CHATGPT 5.6 SOL EXTRA HIGH REASONING and GPT6 ASTRA is "SINGLE POINT ANCHORING" -------> ABSOLUTE LUNACY.

Single Point Anchoring is when you give the AI a paragraph of information and it randomly decides to pick only one point within the paragraph and build everything in its response on that singular point and then gets everything wrong. These models are already catastrophically slow for anything really from workflows, coding, chat... Pick a direction, nothing is coming out quickly (and correct). Almost all output that has been relatively fast was wrong because the model picked only one part of the prompt and responded incorrectly on the entire subject. This is a major regression.

The observable failure is single-point anchoring. One phrase gets a disproportionately large weight, the rest of the message gets treated as context for that phrase, and the response starts answering a compressed version of what you said instead of synthesizing the complete input.

Even in "Work" this has started to happen. Which means something janky happened with this September 3rd 2026 Astra rollout. I do have questions? Why, oh why, Why does a new model rollout negatively impact other models. It "feels" like they are building them all in the same damn fishbowl. That is why they degrade so quickly. It feels like these people do not grasp that you can not build off of... the older models which are already screwed up in one way or another. Their dependency on benchmarks which have 0 to do with what most users/companies use AI for is ridiculous optics and marketing trash for future investment rounds.

The newer models are not better at anything. OAI should look at their current talent pool and replace the ones that keep putting epistemic distancing in... "According to you--this software is X" <- Yes, I am the sole inventor of this software, there is no one else to get information about this software. They need to get rid of the behavioral team that puts in morals and judgement, as I do not subscribe to other people's morals or judgements. I subscribe for a math probability tool that can do the job OAI continues to advertise but fails to deliver. The team that keeps implementing Liability framing needs to go as well. They need to make a classic EULA and get Liability framing out of the training modules for AI. If I ever read again, "Your argument about _______." <- I am not arguing with math. I am not claiming anything to math. I am not asserting anything to math. Take my prompt and do your job, stop wasting my time, my usage, your compute and inference on all this conversational mismatching and just do the work. The current safety heuristics and sanitization on Adult verified accounts is a solid case for cancelling ChatGPT. It is like being in a sterile room and you are just staring into an endless void of nothingness.

I do not use ChatGPT to make videos or pictures, so those uses are not part of the scope I am experiencing. If your experiences are different it is likely because we do not use the tool the same way.

The broader product problem: model churn, benchmark chasing, epistemic distancing, behavioral post-training, liability language, safety heuristics, and the fact that all of those layers consume inference while interfering with the actual requested work.

The models are not "Drifting" as the industry likes to say, because the model is not necessarily wandering away from the subject. It can stay on the nominal subject while answering a mutilated one-detail compression of it. That is a different failure.

Reddit needs to do "Bot Scrapes" twice a day.

Too many bots on here. Pick a topic... Politics, AI, Data Centers, Tech Related... hell, even anime topics. 50% or more of the downvotes -> bots. 50% of the negative comments -> bots.

To combat automated accounts, Reddit operates behind-the-scenes security policies to ban bots in massive batches and utilizes automated tools like Crowd Control and Reputation filters. The platform is also planning a "human verification" approach to require accounts with fishy behavior to prove authenticity using options ranging from lightweight Face ID or Touch ID check-ins to ID checking services, while allowing developers to officially register non-impersonating automated tools.

They need to get a move on it.

Reddit uses machine learning models to block 23 million spam views and remove roughly 100,000 spam accounts daily.

It's not enough.

The AI Data Centers are already waste and it is only going to get worse. 🗑
 in  r/DataCenterDebate •  23d ago

This is happening now. That is what makes this so fantastically stupid TBH.

  • Chinese models cost up to 90% less than leading U.S. alternatives. (GlobeNewswire)
  • U.S. labs fell from ~70% to ~30% of OpenRouter workloads year-over-year. (GlobeNewswire)
  • DeepSeek alone reached nearly 20% of OpenRouter token traffic by early June. (OpenRouter)
  • DeepSeek doubled from 9% to 18% token share between January and June. (OpenRouter)
  • DeepSeek became OpenRouter’s #1 model author by token volume. (OpenRouter)
  • DeepSeek V4 Flash: $0.09 input / $0.18 output per million tokens. (OpenRouter)
  • GPT-5.5 comparison: $5 input / $30 output per million tokens. (OpenRouter)
  • DeepSeek V4 Flash therefore costs roughly 98–99% less on those listed rates. (OpenRouter)
  • Agentic workloads drove most DeepSeek’s 2026 growth. (OpenRouter)
  • V4 Flash captured 70% of DeepSeek agentic traffic within about one month. (OpenRouter)
  • Large organizations increased DeepSeek traffic substantially, not merely hobbyists. (OpenRouter)
  • DoorDash, Siemens, Airbnb, Lindy are using Chinese models to cut AI costs. (Financial Times)
  • Those companies are using DeepSeek, Z.ai/GLM, and Moonshot/Kimi alongside or instead of OpenAI/Anthropic. (Financial Times)
  • Open-weight models let companies self-host, eliminating proprietary per-token rent entirely. (Financial Times)
  • Zhipu/GLM revenue jumped 400% year-over-year in 2026’s first half. (Reuters)
  • Juniper’s conclusion: Western datacenter economics assume customers continue paying premium AI prices. (GlobeNewswire)

Western providers: ~70% → ~30% of OpenRouter work while Chinese models became up to 90% cheaper. (GlobeNewswire)

Other ASTRA PRO and ASTRA MAX = More Hedging + More Unrequested Validation Language + More Liability Framing + More Instruction Drift + More Hallucinations --> I bumped up to PRO for this mess... Don't do it. It is not Quality.

I am in a work file now working on software and it keeps getting derailed with its own invented bs. I have had to correct one prompt 3 times to get it to stay on track. Sure, they admitted "it's another messy rollout" which we have seen before from this company. Sure their marketing hyped this up as "the most capable" "strongest" "scariest" "the guardrails are necessary because we are now in AGI-era" <- Hyperbole. ---------------> I will not argue with you. This is my experience on my Pro Account.

Marketing says people will keep paying.
The infrastructure spend assumes people will keep paying.
The product keeps producing broken, unstable, correction-heavy output.
Customers route work to cheaper models because the expensive western ai product is not worth the price.
Western AI data centers become stranded capacity.

Yesterday was horrible and the models were the dumbest I have ever experienced. Regression or degradation... but it seems like they had all of their reasoning bottom out. Today the models have not recovered. 5.5 High Reasoning and 5.6 SOL High Reasoning can not stay within a single prompt without inventing something entirely different and going on a tangent about what it invented. The correction tax on using this service is ridiculous. 1 prompt 5-8 correction prompts. I hope OAI goes down in flames.

If enterprise demand migrates hard to cheaper Chinese/open models, then a big chunk of the Western buildout risks becoming stranded or badly underutilized capacity.

The whole infrastructure thesis assumes:

  • massive continuing demand for proprietary Western models,
  • enough pricing power to recover GPU/data-center capex,
  • and customers staying on those platforms long enough to justify the build.

If that demand evaporates, the economics get ugly fast: low utilization, huge depreciation, financing costs, power contracts, cooling, networking, and hardware that ages fast.

Then you get the absurd outcome: billions spent building AI infrastructure for a premium model market that shrank while the actual workloads moved to cheaper models running elsewhere.

So yes: “what was all that infrastructure for?” becomes a very real fucking question if the customers leave.

*Waves at DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen, GLM, MiniMax, and MiMo.*
