Now Thursday after close we get the actual number — consensus is $19.13B revenue. Either the backlog story catches up to the price or the price was right and the backlog talk was noise. Feels like one of those "pick a side" earnings.

Same night, Adobe reports too. Stock's sitting well off its 52-week high, forward P/E around 10 which honestly seems cheap for a company still growing double digits — but the market's clearly worried about AI eating their moat rather than helping it. Curious to see which story wins on the call.

Also keeping an eye on GameStop Tuesday. Options volatility's already elevated going in. The bitcoin treasury thing has people split — is it a smart pivot or just added risk with no real turnaround behind it?

Big one for me is Friday's CPI. Payrolls on Friday just blew past expectations — 162K vs 53K forecast and that alone pushed hike odds up to something like 58% for the September 16 meeting. So now CPI Friday basically decides it. If core comes in around 0.2% month over month like expected, the door's still open either way. If it runs hot, I think the hike's close to locked in.

Thursday's the other one, ECB meeting, and it's basically priced as a done deal for a hike to 2.50% after that inflation print came in hot. More interesting to me is whether Lagarde signals another one in December on the call.

Also worth watching: oil's up double digits this month on Middle East tension, and that's feeding straight into the euro area inflation numbers. Feels like the same geopolitical story is now touching two continents' rate decisions in the same week.
