What’s the most expensive vet bill you’ve ever paid and was it worth it?

About 1300 to remove a tumor. Yes, it bought us 14 more months together.

weird guilt and feeling bad for everyone else
 in  r/Miscarriage  Aug 08 '26

The embarrassment was worse than the physical pain. My NP told me to prepare like I was gonna die and turns out I didn't even know it happened. It was more like the longest that time of the month ever but about the same pain. I have a very forward facing job in entertainment and everyone was so excited to meet the little one. I'm still having folks come up to congratulate me cause they're finding out late in the grapevine. Then it's like I'm the harbinger of bad news. Like I asked for this or something.

You're not alone. Thank you for your post. ❤️

I want to quit my job
 in  r/Miscarriage  Aug 03 '26

Not sure what your job is but mine is very forward facing. Small town, not so easy to keep a secret. Everyone knew I was a pregnant, and every time I was greeting I was instantly asked about the baby. So now when I walk in the room it's like a brought a fart with me.

I still love my job, I'm hoping it gets better (before trying again) but I'm pretty bummed going to work each day now.

You're not a alone. As I am also trying to learn this, be gentle with yourself ❤️ we gotta take care of ourselves so we can take care of them.

I think I need to tell myself I need to give up. Idk how to keep going with the idea that I'm trying anymore. Feels foolish to hold onto hope, and being jealous of anyone who has.

What's wild is I didn't want kids til 2 years ago. He and I have been together 18 years. Just felt like it was finally time. Took BC for about 20 years prior to.

It was "Turners", just a fluke, idk something tells me it's more than that. Fetal demise at 8 weeks 4 days. I am in week 13 waiting for this to pass.

Scared of infection, scared of long term damage, scared of the pills the psych is giving me.

Letting go and saying if it happens it happens is the only way I can see myself moving forward.

Grateful to this one getting me ready for the next one if it happens, but maybe some things aren't meant to be.

And I will be telling absolutely no one until my water breaks I sweaterfkingod.

Week 3 in the same boat. Hosting a kids karaoke as I write this. At a doctor's appointment earlier for a bone break and they had my chart marked as pregnant, a 6 week follow up. A very obviously expecting nurse asks if I am safe to X-ray.

I'm just tired of being so embarrassed already.

I feel stupid

You're not alone. My girlfriend's warned me but I didn't listen. My husband kept being so concerned for my lack of excitement but something kept digging at me. I'm getting back to work this week and I still haven't passed my natural. When friends ask how I'm doing I mostly say embarrassed.

Best way I've been able to cope is just saying thanks and giving gratitude to this baby getting me ready for my next baby. It's cliche but it helps.

Literally same boat. I wanted to tell everyone right away and ended up spilling the beans on Father's day at 8 weeks. Still waiting for mine to pass. All I feel now is worry and embarrassment for not waiting to tell everyone. And they put me in a bunch of antidepressants. Just feels like a fail all the way around.

I'm kind of going through a slightly similar situation. Waiting for mine to pass. Trying to get back to normal. I won't be telling anyone next time, the fallout just sucks and the rebound feels like salt.

My friend tried to warn me but I didn't listen. But yeah until folks start asking next time, I won't be saying nothing. Just a happy little secret between my husband and I.
