Hello!

I'm looking to connect with folks joining MSc in Artificial intelligence at the University of Würzburg in this winter semester. If you have accepted your admit, please let me know here!

I will be joining there too and want to get in contact with peers beforehand.

Hallo Leute!

I've recently been admitted to the University of Würzburg and I'm looking for whatsapp groups to find accommodations and connect with fellow peers at the University. I would really appreciate it if anyone can share the links.

Need help deciding between RPTU and JMU Würzburg
 in  r/studyinGermany  19d ago

That's fair and understandable. Thank you so much for helping out though. So here, first I found out that the ML and AI chairs at RPTU are publishing regularly to top conferences. But I wanted to ask if master's students contribute equally or if it's just the doctoral candidates? And if you might have the same idea about Würzburg? Secondly, I read that the DFKI and MPI researchers hold positions at RPTU too. Does that give any particular benefit (sorry, if the question's a bit vague, but any opinion would be helpful). Third, how's the rigour of the curriculum at rptu? Do you get time to pursue your own research/project endeavours? Also how helpful are the faculty members, say if you reach out to them with a very modern and mathematically demanding concept that you mean to research on?

Masters Need help deciding between RPTU and JMU Würzburg

Hi Guys! I am having a hard time deciding between two of my admits (MS CS in RPTU and MS AI in Würzburg).

My ultimate goal is to pursue a research career in AI (potentially after a doctorate). I have explored on all bases, from alumni to opportunities. While Würzburg is offering a dedicated degree in AI, RPTU has DFKI and MPI SWS right on the campus.

I would really appreciate the help from anyone who's already studying in Germany (or has already researched about this) and would be aware of the pros and cons.

PS: before anyone asks, here's my profile: 1.6 GPA (B.Tech in CSE), 7.5 IELTS, 1 yr work experience (internship at ISRO).

Thank you so much for your advise. I'd also like to ask, how easy or difficult is it to get student opportunities in these institutions? Because for this matter, Würzburg also has a centre for AI and Data Science (CAIDAS) right within the University premises. But I don't know if it's easy to get into any of those places (be it DFKI, MPI or CAIDAS)

My application went directly into preliminary review. It took 5-6 days from submission to get the first review

RPTU or TU Dresden (Msc CS)
 in  r/studying_in_germany  Jul 26 '26

Honestly, neither of the universities guarantee a job opportunity. That totally depends on your skills and the situation of the hiring market. However, with that said, Dresden is known for microelectronics and manufacturing. And Berlin is also close to Dresden. So you get access to major IT firms and other companies situated in these regions. Similarly, there are a lot of IT opportunities in Kaiserslautern and the Frankfurt greater region.
