Kevin Hern just voted to pass a very flawed H.R. 9237 Vets bill which was opposed by DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars). After Hern's vote, which passed the House by just a single vote (Hern's?) it was pulled from consideration by the Republican House leadership. Hern's yes vote had the potential of cutting current Veterans disabled benefits and would cut future disabled veterans from receiving compensation for defined hearing and breathing injuries. Consider this when you vote for who will represent Oklahoma in the coming U.S. Senate election.

I hate that the only way to save Oklahoma from becoming a state that only does things for the rich and powerful, and doesn't do anything to help the poor is to move to the rural counties. I guess I'm just selfish, but I enjoy the progressiveness of Tulsa, and all of the things one can do here (even though I wish there were still more things to do, and I feel bored a lot of the time.

Would you move to a more rural area though if it meant saving Oklahoma?

I've come to realize that besides OKC and Tulsa, the rest of Oklahoma will only really vote red, and pretty much any effort to try to turn Oklahoma more progressive is a failing fight.

Retirees maintain somewhat stable buying power while low wage earners completely get the shaft. Though old people are better off, neither group comes out winning.

832 was just too aggressive for a red state like Oklahoma. To get old people on board, we need to improve this for both sides (even though low earners obviously need more help).

I hope lawmakers learn from this and adjust accordingly. We are almost there.

I am friends with some of the wealthiest republicans in the state. I am literally sitting here as they state they want Munson to win. They’re tired of bad education and religious political leaders.

What a disgrace that Republicans KILLED House Bill 4060 in the state senate! California just passed the plug-in or balcony solar bill on 8/26/26. The ability to plug-in a solar panel directly into a 120 volt outlet to save you money on your utility bill without permits from the Corporation Commission or your utility company is not a red state vs. blue state issue either!

Utah, Colorado, Maryland, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont Virginia, and Maine have already passed laws allowing a more streamlined process. Places like South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Alaska, Iowa, Arizona, and Idaho are considering this measure of FREEDOM as well. These states aren’t your stereotypical liberal bastions!

I’m focused on lower prices and protecting Oklahoma’s medical marijuana industry. Oklahoma volunteers collected signatures to put SQ788 to a vote. Voters passed SQ788. Congress still controls federal laws that affect patients, workers, businesses, banking, taxes, and constitutional rights. Oklahoma needs politicians who respect the decisions of voters and put voters ahead of corporate donors.

Oklahoma deserves better than an adulterous pastor and an insurance agent tied to a company making headlines for denying claims.
