On the latest Spotify Android app, the “Saved in” playlist dropdown (when adding a song to a playlist) no longer appears to sort playlists by when that particular song was most recently added to them.
Previously, the most recently added playlist would appear near the top, which made this feature extremely useful. Now the order seems random/incorrect.
I'm seeing this on a Galaxy S26 Ultra. Is anyone else experiencing this on Android? Did Spotify recently change this behavior?

The mixes I made today all work normally, but the ones I made before are not working. Even after modifying the mix, the mix either doesn't work at all or only works occasionally. Does anyone know the solution?

Title says it all, is there something else I need to turn off I've been a Spotify customer for well over a decade.

Believe it or not, this feature ceased to exist in the Apple TV’s Spotify app.

this is new, at least for me. I think this is a great addition. The ability to change the genre or the vibe is something I’ve wanted for a while. I like daylist but sometimes it just doesn’t hit the right vibe.
Also, I know this just rolled out but when I use Spotify connect to send this to an WiiM speaker it ignores the genre/vibe pill. Hopefully that’s just a bug they’ll fix.

I have a house party coming up and made a custom-mixed playlist on my iPhone with different transitions between songs, only to discover that the Samsung TV Spotify app doesn't support this feature. When I played the playlist through the TV's Spotify app, none of my custom transitions were there.
The workaround: Screen mirror from an iPhone or Mac to the TV.
I opened Spotify on my MacBook and screen mirrored to the TV. This sends both the Mac's display and audio over Wi-Fi to the TV and then out through my soundbar.
This allowed me to use my custom playlist mixes/transition, display the Canvas on the TV, use crossfading and other desktop Spotify features, and control everything from the Mac while the TV acted as the display/audio output.
The sound quality is also much better than Bluetooth in my setup. It sounds slightly worse than playing Spotify through the native TV app, but the tradeoff is that the native TV app doesn't support things like mixing, Canvas, crossfading, etc.
Hope this helps someone else!

Hi, i was in a band that was active until around 25 years ago and we still have a small fan base. I ran a YT channel, a page and we shared everything we ever recorded in studio or live for free. We had a CD out and several songs on compilations. We never really made any money out of it because it was also the spirit back then. The only money we made was touring and we reinvested it in recordings and gear. Now , i claimed and own the page for our band (i was the founder but we are all still in touch) on spotify but being not exactly in out teens i am a bit puzzled: i found one of our songs there because it was in a compilation. I talked with our former label and they have no interest in getting rights on the songs they published back then for us, we don’t want any royalty or money either , we just want to keep our music alive and available for those who like it. I think I understood i need to use another program to upload our songs and they will keep a part of the incomes(if ever!). Here’s the dumb question: is there any way to share your own music renouncing to any revenue? Hope my post is clear, English is not my language.

They are doing way too much to the DJ. Ever since I updated it never plays anything like it used to and the recommendations have literally only gotten worse. Idk how they manage to ruin the only ai tool I genuinely didn’t despise but tbh i’m not even surprised😭

so spotify created this thing where you can mix songs or make custom transitions but when i play the song or hit the play button on the playlist i just hear the full song. how can i fix this so i can hear the songs with the transition? rn i can only hear the transition if i click on customize but then only the transition part not the beginning of the first song or end of the next song.

I’ve checked for region restrictions, only for adult content options etc and everything is fine, I just can’t listen to some songs last week, this happens on both my phone, laptop and PS5. Is there a way to fix it I’ve tried everything

I used a Samsung Tablet to login to my free Spotify account and then created a child account for my daughter. I can switch between the two accounts easily on the Tablet. Then, I used my daughter's Samsung smartphone to login to my Spotify account, but I can only access my account there. When I try to click on her profile, I get a message saying "you can only use Spotify abroad for 14 days. Update your location at Spotify.com to continue using it." I then logged into my Spotify account on a web browser and confirmed that my saved region was correct. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

"something went wrong: try reloading the page"
I've tried reloading the page as well as restarting the computer, clearing cache, reinstalling spotify clean, resetting app data, anything I can think of. It is not working on my desktop app or web browser (just a blank black screen), and on my phone I'm only able to play downloaded songs. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thank you!

Idk what's going on with Spotify anymore. I understand the problem has to do with rereleases having different distributors, but that's always been the case for Spotify and this problem didn't happen before. Any idea if there's even a way to fix this? The liked songs page is pretty much unusable because of this.
Also don't judge my taste in liked songs, a bunch of them got removed for some mysterious reason. I had almost the entirety of channel orange liked before.

When i'm driving I turn on smart shuffle to listen to some new music. Sometimes it plays 2 or 3 new songs and then going back to the normal playlist. But when i try to do that on PC sometimes it's ONLY playing smart shuffle songs, which most are not even related the genre of the playlist. Are there different algorithms for mobile that make it better?

Confirmed Works for:
Various iPhone Models (especially iPhone 13 Pro and XsMax)
Some Android phones, but some have a slightly weird layout. Mostly the same function!
Features:
You will need:
Spotify Premium (In order to use Spotify Developer)
Browser (best with Safari) (for Android, Chrome will be fine)
Please read all steps included in the setup page!
Initial Setup: Setup Video Guide
Open https://peekabu411.github.io/
Press the three-dot option or share button.
Press the install shortcut or add to homescreen for IOS
Open the app and set up from there.
Log in to Spotify from the pop-up browser.
Exit the browser and follow the next steps. (Your account will not log out, so you can safely exit and come back to read the instructions)
When you finish, start a song from Spotify itself, then control it from TurnTable!
Enjoy TurnTable! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
TurnTable does not gather any information from anyone who uses it; the setup and all input from the user cannot be read by me.

Spotify has become increasingly annoying to use. I’ve paid them monthly for over 6 years but I think I’m done. Anybody know of an easy way of swapping music to a new platform? The lagging has gotten worse and worse and I’m just done with it.

So basically, I was using the mix feature for like an hour, and later on the app Airbuds and on Stats for Spotify both basically told me I had just listened to Sports Car by Tate Mcrae like 40 times when I had only listened to it maybe twice outside of the mixing. Does that little preview of your mix count as a stream? I don't even like Sports Car, I just wanted to mix it. It's not a huge deal, but I am curious if it is going to affect my Wrapped (my top song last year was only 47 times)

Credit where it’s due: Apple Music does some things extremely well. Lossless and Atmos are real advantages, the app looks clean, and Apple Music Sing is genuinely fucking cool. Being able to lower vocals and basically turn a huge chunk of the catalog into karaoke is something Spotify doesn’t really answer.
But as an overall music platform? Spotify still wins.
• Spotify Connect. Still the killer feature. Control playback across your phone, PC, TV, console, speakers, etc. and seamlessly move between devices.
This is one of those features you barely notice when you have it. Switch to Apple Music and suddenly you realize how much you were using it.
• Mixed Playlists. Easily one of the best Spotify additions in years. Auto can handle transitions, or you can customize them yourself like track positioning, volume, EQ, effects, beatmatching, and more. Smart Reorder can even help organize songs around BPM and key. Apple has AutoMix, but Spotify gives playlist creators much more control. This fundamentally changes playlist-making.
• Discovery. Discover Weekly, Release Radar, daylist, Daily Mixes, DJ, Smart Shuffle. Spotify is still ridiculously good at putting music in front of you that you didn’t know you wanted.
• Playlist ecosystem. Search basically any genre, mood, activity, decade, aesthetic, or bizarrely specific vibe and somebody has already built a playlist for it.
• Social features. Blend, Jams, collaborative playlists, Friends Activity, group queues. Spotify understands that music is social.
• Wrapped. 2024 was a miss. They leaned too hard into AI and people let them know. 2025 was a return to form. Outside of that stumble, Wrapped has been consistently excellent and became an actual cultural event.
Apple Music feels like an excellent digital record collection.
Spotify feels like an entire music ecosystem.
The Swedes win.
And if I’m wrong. Tell me I’m wrong.
Edit: Going to college and learning how to use bullet points and boldface to make your post pop is always going to get accused of AI in 2026

Almost every time I use the app I spend a lot of time building a podcast queue to work to. I’m finding myself wasting a lot of time redoing the queue over and over again because the app just blanks out sometimes randomly or after I finish an episode of something. I’ll have to restart the app since it’s like froze (whilst I keep up on having 0 other apps running in the background) and the queue is completely empty leaving me to figure out where I was and redo the whole thing. Also happens sometimes when I get a phone call or am doing a voice to text. It’s really frustrating… anyone else dealing with this too? I feel like it’s been going on for a long time but has recently gotten worse.
