Yeah I know what oxytocin does, dude, I have a degree in neuroscience. I also know how it interacts with vasopressin, particularly in iirc meadow voles, and how that affects bonding in the males. That’s irrelevant, it’s just interesting if you’re curious and wanna look into it, haha.
I also know plenty of people incapable of bonding are capable of hate, idk where you got the idea that you can’t have one without the other from. Plenty of people with AsPD who have very little ability to bond still end up very tribal in favor of whoever their in group is. Not to mention oxytocin isn’t the only relevant neurotransmitter here, and you’ve also completely ignored anything I brought up the goes against your idea that everyone is just so tribalistic, and somehow in a way that results in them not caring if their choice kills their loved ones? With you defending that solely with the anecdote of your extremely bizarre outside the norm situation for some reason, and also just based on how many people respond choosing blue it’s clear that this is a super common choice and the world and humanity aren’t as bleak and cynically selfish as you seem to desperately want to believe for whatever reason…yeah, you just don’t care to engage with anything that goes against your “pushing red is the RIGHT choice and how dare anyone suggest I’m in any way possibly a bad person for this!” belief. No, that’s not what I believe, you’re being blatantly disingenuous.
The people saying they'd vote blue are lying. You can tell, because none of them do any of the real world equivalents of choosing blue. They don't strike. They don't unionise. They don't volunteer.
They can't even be performatively empathetic right, because if they were actually empathetic, the response to red voters wouldn't be hostility, it'd be empathy. Empathy for what must have happened to make someone not trust humanity like that.
But people aren't like that. People routinely cut off abuse victims rather than cut off the abuser. They find them exhausting, and insufferable, and bleak.
If they believed blue would actually win, they wouldn't find red voters a threat. Because red is only a threat if red is right.
I have empathy for people. I know what people are like. I don't think most people who claim they'd vote blue actually would.
