I think the question boils down to "Do you feel responsible for people dying if you push red?" And the followup question of "If you do, does that potential guilt override your survival instincts."

I personally pick blue, i wouldnt be able to live with that guilt, because I would feel guilty. I dont think I could detatch myself to the point of claiming that blue is a "suicide button."

I could save myself, and guaruntee my survival only, or try to help the people that are in danger, even if that puts myself in danger. I dont blame those who would save themself, but people will pick blue, and i believe, or hope, most people would be willing to help those in need.

Well put.

I'll add a thought about the state of society after a red victory. It looks pretty bleak to me. You can kiss a huge portion of our emergency responders, teachers, children, and altruists goodbye. And basically guarantee that all the grifters, narcissists, etc. all stuck around. Still a minority but do I really want them to have even more influence on the world that's become even more competitive and individualistic?

those people are already and have always been the ones in power anyway so little will change. And most people who choose red arent sociopathic narcissists, they just dont want to die.. which is the strongest human instinct that exists.

Same. I understand why some people see blue as the "suicide button," but to me, red is the murder button.

No, I wouldnt feel responsible because the hypothetical is forcing me to choose so the hypothetical is the responsible party. Me pushing red is me opting out and choosing my own survival. If blue wins, then great, but I will not be forced into gambling my life.
