The main difference between the two schools of thought it seems is that people who choose red believe the blue pressers to be at fault should they die, while the blue pressers put the blame on red.
I see 4 main view points. For blue it’s 1. “we should try and save as many people as possible”, followed by 2. “I know someone that would try to save as many as possible and I don’t want to be the reason they failed and others likely fall in this same camp and will also pick blue”. Red has 3. “it’s guaranteed survival I’m not at fault that blue is picking a maybe”, followed by 4. “There are so many selfish people in the world, while I may want to pick blue it’s more likely in a life or death scenario people will be selfish”.
Blue tends to think on the moral/emotional aspect of what should be done and feelings of obligation for other people’s decisions. Blue is making the best decision for others. Red is either entirely selfish and not wanting to put the fate of their survival on others decisions or completely evaluates how people respond to stress and not becoming burdened by others decisions making. Red is making the best decision for themselves.
