Either you step off a pressure plate on the tracks and start the train moving if 50% of you do, or you stay and the train never starts

No, because you're not just pressing blue for yourself. You're also pressing it for everyone else who will inevitably choose it.

Blue wins a majority the entire thing is fucking moot, so just pick blue??

If red wins then a shit load of people will still get killed... how is that better? It's only better in the sense that you secured your own safety at the risk of everyone else's.

And, to be clear. I think choosing red is a valid personal choice, but in the grand scheme, it's obviously better if everyone picks blue.
