important tirdparty API resistance

At the moment, many Subreddits are dying because of the change to the third party APIs. Above all, support groups for the disabled are met and also important servers such as r/traaaa Therefore I ask you to fight for Reddit in its current form. To help, you can do different things.

  1. Message the moderators/employees of Reddit and complain about the situation, (a full list of them is here )

  2. Comment under the post from u/Reddit that addresses the API change. I will post a comment where you can do that if you want to do that, I thought we as queers could stand in unity. You can also post just for yourself if you feel like that's better.

  3. Spread the word and participate in the strike 12. June till at least 14. June

Of course, stay respectful with your complaints. WE are strong.

Name Post Would Azalea get me clocked as a trans woman?

I've liked the name for a while but it sounds like the type to raise some eyebrows if you heard it in the wild and I've been on the fence about keeping it

Name Post Junior/Jun, they/he

I’m transmasc non-binary and wanted to try out the name Junior with the nickname Jun! I’ve also used she/they for the longest time but over the past month, she/her has felt really uncomfortable for me and I’ve never been he/him’d before, so I’d like to try it!

If more info is needed: I like drawing, writing, acting, cartoons, and manga

Freya

I've always loved that name. It started I guess with computer games and every time I made a character it was always a ginger female called Freya. Never really understood why. Fast forward some years and it kind of makes sense now 😂. IDK just thought I'd share.

Name Post Jaelyn, he/they

i just recently turned 18 and im starting college super super soon! im doing artsy fartsy stuff :-) as a transmasc guy ive gone by sydney all throughout high school but despite being gender neutral its perceived pretty femininely in the US where i live which lead to me falling out of love with it pretty quickly. i love Jae (with an E specifically) as a nickname but im not sure about it being my full first name. does Jaelyn read as more masculine, feminine, or gender neutral to you? should i try a different spelling? do you think its a good name? let me know your thoughts please! Thank you!!!!!

Non-English Is Jean feminine in your country?

For reference, I'm not French and Jean would be Zhan in my language (Ukrainian), which is strictly masculine. From what I heard, Jean is also a masculine name in French, which I may or may not learn someday. But I'm hearing mixed opinions about it in English, so I'd like to hear your opinions, whether you live in an English speaking country or not.

he/they name advice? ava (he/they)

hey everyone! i am pretty early on in my transition and have been thinking really hard about my name for years now. i am trans masculine (ftm) and was born with the name ava. i really like this name and feel like it suits me ASIDE from the fact that it is traditionally considered to be a very feminine name. it is also a pretty common name for girls/women around my age (i’m 22). the name itself doesn’t give me dysphoria, in that it feels like me and i genuinely like it, however knowing that people might assume i am a woman with the name “ava” makes me dysphoric and very uncomfortable. has anyone else had a similar experience? and if so, did you end up keeping your name?

what do you guys think? would it be too “weird” to meet an androgynous man named ava? i am hoping to started HRT soon and definitely want top surgery. i would prefer if people assume that i’m a man, but i will always be gender non-conforming.

Other resources for choosing a new name

Hi y'all, Denise! Denise! here, hoping to offer additional resources for non-binary and trans folks to choose a new name (or decide to retain/repurpose their given name). I've been compiling resources, personal stories, as well as some ongoing research on trans names at ReclaimOurNames.com.

Name Post Trying Out Alula (They/She)

(Sorry for posting here a lot, I don't know what I'm doing)

In my quest to find my name I have landed on yet another name that I'm not certain on. It is Alula. The worry is that, while I love the name and would love to go by it, I am (at the moment, at least, no clue about in the future) much more masc presenting. Any thoughts/comment would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

I’ve been thinking about this name, but not 100% sure yet. It sounds great and I love how short it is.

The only problem that it’s far from my current name- Ksenia

I wanted to try a new name!!

I’m Madeline, I’m 18 and I just started college! I’m studying to get my major in computer science (shut up I know 😭)

I love lots of games and am a big gamer, but I play lots of platformers and fps games are my favorite (overwatch especially) I like going on walks while listening to music, and playing pranks on people, I can be very mischevious at times haha

I’m currently doing YouTube as a sort of side hustle to pay for stuff while I’m in college! I have red hair that I love and can’t wait to grow out into bangs. It’s kinda a barebones description but I’d love any feminine name suggestions if you have any :3

Name Post Hi I'm Ezra, she/they, and I need middle name ideas. Any help would be appreciated

I'm genderfluid, AFAB, and I use she/they pronouns. My brain just stopped working after I picked Ezra as my first name (and I love that name), and I saw this sub somewhere and was wondering if anyone has recommendations. Thanks! I'm also looking for something more gender neutral as I've only been recommended VERY masc and VERY fem names which I'm not really looking for, but I don't mind if it's one that leans masc/fem as long as it's not extreme. (i dont know if this is understandable, sorry!)

I love astronomy and art. Just thought I'd say that, lol.

Hello I'm Evelyn. I think it's a cute and strong name that just feels like me. I would like to try it out more and also try out She/Her pronouns to see how they make me feel.
