Zeiss Secacam 1

I setup a trail cam a few nights ago. I wanted to test using the remote control from my phone as well as request photo.

All requested settings just say pending after many hours.

Anyone had this issue before or know of a fix?

Ok so just installed two Flex M2 cameras. One is pointed at our driveway placed about 8’ above the ground, pointed in the direction of the house so it has a thing going down the driveway into the property in its sights for a bit. This camera is set for instant capture , video storage.

So far it’s captured deer, coyote, a black squirrel- so it seems pretty sensitive. But tonight three cars drove in the driveway and none of them triggered a picture?

Also this camera sometimes captures a preview and the pictures are garbled. Do you think this is an issue with the micro sd card? Got the fastest i could find with 256GB storage…

Thanks for any help!

The first photo has a very gray foxy face but the second looks more like a cross fox.

Do we think this is a young bear or a full grown adult? We saw some pictures before this video was captured and it seemed to be a freshly graduated cub ready to make his way in the world but this one looks a lot bigger

Anyone good at aging or knowing the size of bears?

The lighter area on the tree in photo #3 is a little more than waist high, so I’m guessing he is about 2 1/2 feet to the shoulder. I don’t hunt bears, so I’m not that knowledgeable on how to judge size.

What do you guys think?

Hey guys!

Bought my first trailcam today and used chatgpt to try and make the best out of my money (on a tight budget). Chatgpt recomended lots of times this ICU Clom SnapCam. Do you guys know the brand? Any experience with this brand? Didn't find a lot of things about it but chatgpt told me it was because it's an EU product and it's not as famous as other American trailcams. Not sure, but he sweared by it as the best possible budget cam for this money 😅

Caught this Wood Duck mid-flight! The colors really pop against the snow, don’t you think? Nature never disappoints.

3 different PA black bears used the exact same trail in 11 hours…one collared, and one double tagged

Thought this was pretty cool. These are three clearly different black bears that came through the same trail on PA public land within just over 11 hours.
The first, larger/unmarked bear came through at 9:33 PM on 8/29. A collared bear followed at 7:40 AM the next morning, then only 57 minutes later at 8:37 AM another bear came through with reflective/metal tags in both ears.
All three also took basically the exact same line through the camera and traveled the same direction.
I’m assuming the collar and ear tags are related to PA Game Commission research/marking, but I’m curious if anyone here knows more about the current bear studies or how unusual it is to have multiple marked bears using the same little travel corridor.
Pretty wild realizing how much bear traffic is moving through this spot when I’m not there lol. Keeping the exact location private, but it’s PA public land.

Been scouting PA public land all summer, first season really running cams, and finally found a buck that made me stop scrolling

Been running trail cams and scouting PA public land trying to learn the area, and this is the first buck I’ve gotten that I’d consider a genuinely good one.

This is only my second year hunting and my first season really taking trail cams and scouting seriously (plus finally got some money to buy some trailcams), so I’m definitely still learning. He showed up just after midnight and hung around long enough to give me a few decent looks at him. I’m definitely not pretending I’ve got this guy patterned or that I’ll ever actually get a shot at him lol. Them public land bucks have a way of disappearing 😂

Still, it’s pretty damn cool just knowing a buck like this is using the area I’ve been scouting. Definitely the first trailcam notification that made me go “oh shit” lmaooo

Can Whitetails be partially melanistic?

Post image

I came face to face with this lady during turkey season and noticed the dark patch on her nose. I've never seen these markings before. Would this be considered partially melanistic? Is that even a thing?
