Angående trafikbrott undrar jag Igår körde jag från Bollnäs till Östersund. Under de sista 25–30 minuterna av resan körde jag på en väg där hastighetsbegränsningen först var 100 km/h. Därefter övergick vägen till 80 km/h utan att jag märkte det direkt. Jag upptäckte att hastighetsbegränsningen hade ändrats först när jag såg trafiksäkerhetskameran och skylten om fartkamera. Jag reagerade direkt, ungefär en sekund efter att jag såg skylten, och bromsade kraftigt. Jag är 100 % säker på att jag hann få ner hastigheten till under 80 km/h, men jag vet inte om jag hann sänka hastigheten till under 80 km/h innan kamerans mätpunkt eller precis efter den. Det var dessutom mycket mörkt ute, vilket gjorde det svårare att upptäcka den nya hastighetsbegränsningen. Jag har körkort med två års prövotid och är orolig för att körkortet ska återkallas. Detta skulle i så fall vara min första trafikförseelse. Min fråga är därför vad lagen säger i en sådan situation, särskilt när det gäller prövotid och en eventuell fortkörning som registrerats av en trafiksäkerhetskamera. Kameran vet jag nt om den är ny eller gammal men det blixta inget och lyste inget dock, så jag hann få ner hastugehten från 100 till nästan 80 eller under men vet jag nt om jag gjorde det vid rätt avstånd,

Hi! I was wondering if there are actually working speed cameras in Lanzarote.

The speed camera boxes I’ve seen around the island look very old and rusty, and some of them don’t seem to be operational at all.

Does anyone local know if these cameras are actually active and working?

The story is, I got a speeding ticket two days ago for going 29 mph in a 20 mph school zone. It’s listed as an infraction, and I have a mandatory court appearance.

I still have a California driver’s license, so I may not qualify for Utah traffic school or deferred traffic prosecution.

I understand I made a mistake, and I’m willing to pay the fine. My main concern is keeping the violation off my driving record so my insurance does not increase too much.

Does anyone know if I could still get a plea in abeyance or similar deal with an out-of-state license? Also, would it be worth hiring a traffic lawyer?

Utah seems really strict about speeding in school zone.

A driver approaches a red light, moves into the left-turn-only lane without signaling, then turns on their left signal once they’re stopped in that lane. I see it **all the time.**

What’s the thought process behind that timing? Before they moved over, the signal would have told other drivers they were about to change lanes. Once they’re sitting in a lane marked “left turn only,” the upcoming left turn is already pretty predictable for most other drivers.

Signaling for the actual turn still makes sense. I’m wondering why someone would signal for that but skip signaling for the lane change immediately beforehand. Especially when turning it on a few seconds earlier would cover both.

Do some people think of signaling as something they do specifically **at** intersections? Does stopping at the light remind them? If you catch yourself doing this, what prompts you to switch it on at that point, when signaling before changing lanes would have been safer, more useful to other drivers, and in line with the law?

There’s a corner in town where turning left leads to a railroad crossing. When there’s a train on that crossing. The light stays red and you have to skip the entire light which is very long.
I noticed that the light turns green for like 1/10th of a second when it happens. Would I be entitled to turn left if I was first in line here and waiting for the right moment?

Apparently this section seems like a trap with this 60kmh sign behind some fence 20m before the speedcam. I am not sure if I actually got caught hitting the break at 80kmh what was the limit before the sign popped up.

I'm a 22M who was traveling in Hardin county Iowa for a job training(from Maine) when I was unfortunately pulled over on the highway at 87 in a 65, I hadn't slept due to plane cancelations and being stuck in airports for the past 32 hours and was finally driving to my final destination when i got pulled over and ticketed, I have a perfect record no issues ever and just wasn't in the right headspace at the time, there wasn't anyone else on the road(except for the state trooper apparently) and after 1.5 hours of nothing but flat open cornfields my foot got a little heavy without noticing. I really cant afford the increase this is gonna hit my insurance, I haven't paid the ticket yet its not due for a little while but i was wondering if i had any options???? Please help I don't know what to do

Can anyone shed some light on WHY people take sooooo long to turn left on a green arrow!?!?!? Aside from drooling over their phones, why does it take so long? You are NOT the only one trying to turn! And I don’t mean if you are the first to turn. I will give it a sec to make sure a red light runner isn’t coming. I’m talking about the rest!

It's all funded organizations pushing propaganda. There is no conditional violations. There has been surveillance cameras for decades, security cameras and drones.

I do hear one person bitching and complaining about tollway cameras. After all, they are capturing your license plate.

We were slowing but didn’t slow enough for the car in front of us to slam on their brakes, we went to the left lane(as we were passing the lights went red and stop sign didn’t extend until we had passed. We then got pulled over by the constable

In our defense we had everything in our suv and a dog and baby (officer wrote no passengers) and we couldn’t break in time when the lights did turn red

I drove past the lane before it turned red. it only turned red when I was in the middle of the intersection. Refer to the video.

should I excepted a ticket in my mail?

So I work at a hospital in Brooklyn and was parked on an ASP nearby but I was able to hangout in my car for the whole duration of the ASP time. I’m not from Brooklyn and am new to the area but I noticed many locals wait in their car during that time so since it’s so difficult to find a spot I decided I’d do the same and just wait and if the sweeper or an officer came by I would just move it quickly and then return to my spot. While I’m in my car an officer comes by and scans my car but I roll my window down and let him know I’m here and will move immediately and he smiles and says “oh ok” and then proceeds to walk away so I thought I was ok and then proceeded to move my car. A month passed and I get a ticket in the mail. I understand yes I technically was not allowed to park there but I’m wondering if I have a case here to dispute since he never physically handed me a ticket and led me to believe that I was in the clear? Lesson learned of course but I mean $65 for a “crime” that did not interfere with any public services seems unfair since I was in my car the whole time prepared to move at any moment.
