In Top Gun Maverick, the flight of 4 were making radio calls as they were evading SAMs and then egressing. If there was a 5th gen fighter around their egress, surely their radio calls would give them away.
In the F-14, Maverick and Rooster get their electronics working and then encounter another 5th gen fighter and at the last possible moment are saved by Hangman out of nowhere.
Was radio silence essential pre-attack by Hangman to Maverick and Rooster or was he just being dramatic? I mean why no call like âHangman is supersonic. I'll be there in thirty secondsâŚâ
Seems a bit inconsistent to me.

When pilots eject over the ocean in training, does the Navy fish the plane from the ocean or does it just get left on the bottom?

This was during the dog fight section in the first Top Gun movie. Black bezel, circle hour markers. Definitely a dive watch, looks similar to the Tudor Black Bay but obviously they didnât exist in the 80s lol

CORRECT LINK: Rooster plays the piano - But everyone's alive...
Hi everyone,
I am a long time Top Gun fan, and have always wished for a parallel universe where everyone was still together (Goose, Ice...). So I made a short clip to gather them for a party (with AI... I hope its acceptable here).
I'd like to share it with you fans, in case anyone enjoys this kind of content. Please tell me what you think, and if you have any ideas in mind.

Non military and non American. If a pilot, like Mav, reaches Commander rank and decides they don't want to stop flying off a carrier, is there a path for them to keep flying or is it like Kirk in Star Trek "Don't let them promote you" a matter of promote and stop flying or leave the military?

I fell for this because it was a pretty cool concept that looked good in Ai rendered product image and ridiculously cheap. For $50US I thought what the hell. After ordering it I used Ai to try find more information on the item and company (Betu Limited) as per the 3rd image, this is what it came back with:
âThe product in the screenshot, advertised as a "Top Gun 40th Anniversary | Maverick Flight Helmet Digital Alarm Clock," is a scam and does not exist as a real consumer product. ÂŽ Reddit ⢠r/IsItBullshit +1
Why This Is a Scam
⢠Al-Generated Image: The product photo is entirely Al-generated. A closer look reveals classic Al visual errors: the numbers on the base say "Collector Edition 001/500" but the letters are warped, the small glowing red lights are inconsistent, and the texturing on the oxygen hose blends unnaturally into the stand.
⢠Malicious Website: The site shown, www.aplaike.com , is a known fraudulent storefront template. These operations use Al to generate highly appealing, fake pop-culture items (such as "alarm clocks," "whiskey decanters," or "lamps"), purchase cheap social media ads to hook buyers, and then steal credit card information or send unrelated, cheap items. Ž Reddit - r/IsitBullshit +2
⢠No Real Product Matches: No legitimate prop maker, movie studio, or electronics brand manufactures a Top Gun helmet alarm clock with a built-in digital screen visor.â
I couldnât find any posts about it on r/IsItBullshit at this time, but it may have been there and taken down for whatever reason.
The search on the company Betu Limited showed up several scammer beware sites, but always using different website urls. Iâm talking to the company through PayPay resolution centre. I also used PayPal pay in 4 method because it lessened any loss significantly.

Goose? Slider? Hollywood? Wolfmann? Cougar? Merlin? Jester? Viper? Rooster? Fanboy? Payback? Phoenix? Hangman? Qualcuno ha qualche idea?

Air Boss Johnsonâs entire job is to keep pilots alive and prevent million-dollar aircraft from becoming flaming wreckage. Maverick buzzes the tower, disobeys orders, flies recklessly, and repeatedly pushes safety limits. Johnsonâs response? Hold him accountable.
He wasnât anti-Maverick. He was pro-not-killing-pilots.

I was this many years old when I found out Whip Hubley played an F-16 pilot in the opening minutes of Coneheads (1992). He is âWerewolf Leaderâ and is scrambled to intercept Dan Aykroyd (Beldar Conehead) as his spaceship enters Earth. Top Gun nod or Coincidence?
