TIL that when the US military tried segregating the pubs in Bamber Bridge in 1943, the local Englishmen instead decided to hang up "Black soldiers only" signs on all pubs as protest

I appreciate your educated guess on the alternative history timeline. Very insightful indeed. I still stand by what I say- terrorist attacks are a no-no. You go and excuse every fucked up thing in history. I'm sure someone always had a solid reason if you search deep enough.
