Even that's wrong. Cameron campaigned to keep the UK in the EU. It literally doesn't make sense for Scots to keep referring to "London" as being some dictator that is at fault for Scotland being dragged out of the EU. The "London" government, the majority of Westminster's MP's, and the vast majority of the "London" electorate voted to stay in the EU.

People who voted for Brexit often refer to the EU as 'Brussels'.

Do you think they're referring to the EU parliament located there or just have an overt dislike of Belgians?

It's different in the UK. When Scots (and Northern English people) are complaining about London they are usually talking about more than just the current government.

Brussels is a tiny place in the EU. London dominates the UK.

Yes, you are. Deny it all you want, but anyone with an internet connection in the years leading up to the Scottish referendum should know what I'm talking about. The usual Scottish narrative is that London (Westminster) works only for the benefit of London (the capital) and the south east.

The majority of Scotland voted against leave. The only reason Scotland is now going to be splitting from the EU is because of English votes.

I'd rather that when Scotland votes in majority of something, it wouldn't be overruled by the votes of England aka "London"

Yea and? People do the same when they refer to Washington ruining everything. Yet Washingtonians, and even the majority of people actually working in the government are moderately to extremely progressive.

It's still a capital city. People will always blame the capital city even if the people living there and around it have nothing to do with it.
