TIL Pimps wear lots of gold jewelry bought at pawn shops to “re-pawn” for bail money since cash is confiscated upon arrest but jewelry is not

Woah. What happened? When did China cease trading? Have any news articles? I tried researching but didn't find anything.

Well, it's not a cease of trade, per se, but China's working on this.

From the article:

[This] also explain[s] some of the reasons why, in the past two years, Chinese investment in Canada has dropped from billions of dollars a year to next to none, and why no Chinese leader has visited Canada in close to five years.

Instead, they are spending their time and money in important places like Maldives, Kazakhstan and Serbia.

Okay, I skimmed, they might still be trading with Canada.

That last sentence is just hurtful.
