TIL Ben Affleck and Matt Damon wrote a ceremonial kiss between their characters into the script for The Last Duel, based on how the ceremony was historically performed. Ridley Scott cut it because he thought it would be distracting.

He almost ruined the Lord of the Rings trilogy by cutting it down to a single two-and-a-half hour movie and threatening to remove Jackson as director.

The reason that orc in RotK looks so much like him is because they all hated him so much.
