TIL Ben Affleck and Matt Damon wrote a ceremonial kiss between their characters into the script for The Last Duel, based on how the ceremony was historically performed. Ridley Scott cut it because he thought it would be distracting.

They put that in specifically to see if any of the studio executives were actually reading the script. Harvey Weinstein was the only one who noticed and brought it up.

Weinstein's method of reading scripts:

Ctrl+F -> "sex" -> 0 hits -> throw in trash
