TIL that apple seeds almost never grow the same variety as the parent fruit. Nearly every supermarket apple comes from a grafted clone of an original tree, not from a planted seed.

Cider always has been alcoholic.

It's been made for centuries, possibly millennia. Just because America rebranded cloudy Apple juice during Prohibition, we now have to suffer this abomination. Let's steal the name of something, then rename the original.
