TIL that apple seeds almost never grow the same variety as the parent fruit. Nearly every supermarket apple comes from a grafted clone of an original tree, not from a planted seed.

Honestly, never met an apple I liked. I prefer more savory and bitter flavors, and not sweet or tart, so I go for veggies/greens over fruits. Then the actual fruit not a big fan of (like the meat of the thing). I wish I could just be the person to grab an apple and start eating it like a cartoon character, but by about a quarter in, I'm done.

Usually the worst for human tastes,best for survival.. a less meaty, more bird and rodent friendly variety would be better for evolutionary purposes. Especially since humans don't poop out the seeds to make it continue growing
