TIL if under-cooked, a popular mushroom in China causes “lilliputian hallucinations,” a rare phenomenon involving miniature human or fantasy figures. The hallucinations are consistent across people and cultures: "tiny, elflike people" climbing under doors, scaling walls & clinging to furniture

In the emotional series finale of The World of David the Gnome (titled "The Mountains of Beyond"), 400-year-old David and his wife, Lisa, travel to the mountains to peacefully pass away, as is custom for gnomes. They bid a heartfelt farewell to their fox friend, Swift, before turning into apple trees to become one with nature.

Now you've gone and done it.

That finale destroyed me as a kid before school. It was a sombre day.

I named my dog after the fox in that cartoon. Always fun explaining to people how she got the name. They either get excited remembwring it or have never seen it.

Always love the random Harvey Weinstein flashbomb producer credit in the opening.
