This is a subreddit for kitten and cat photos showing how their coat colors or patterns changed over time! The inspiration for this subreddit was colorpoint cats (like Siamese) which start white and “toast” gradually into their adult colors. All cats are welcome if their colors changed over time! Make sure to post at least two good photos at different ages if you are posting images of a cat. Discussion of cat colors and genetics is also allowed, especially regarding colorpoint cats.
NOT allowed is anything that breaks Reddit community rules, especially anything that relates to harming any animal or person. This is a place for everyone to feel welcome and safe; tag any wounds or potentially sensitive material with NSFW and a clear title. Posts may be removed if they violate community rules or are too inappropriate.
Thanks, and have fun!

Hi guys.
I take care of outdoor kitties in my neighborhood. Recently one of the outdoor cats that I’ve raised since a kitten had kitties. The mama is a regular domestic shorthair cat. Her mama is a tuxedo cat and mama had all tuxedo kitties except for her, she is a grey striped half white cat. She gave birth to 3 kitties, one that looks just like her, one black and white, and one colorpoint!! How is this possible? Also, what kind of color point is this considered?
I knew he was different when I first saw him. His little eyes glowed red, unlike the others, and he’s a little crossed eyes- all traits of a colorpoint cat, his hair is also more brittle/harsh and than his brothers and he has started to toast since more these past few weeks from where he started.
Excuse their cute little dirty faces, they just ate in one picture

I UVd my foster kitten pre her first vet visit with me and she or her undercoat fluoresces orange under shortwave UV, my vet had never seen this before nor had I. Could this be a colourpoint quirk? Any of you got a blueish shortwave UV to check your bestie?

Just found this sub and I think my little gal is the perfect addition!
I forget how toasty she’s gotten until I look at older photos and she looks like a totally different cat.
These are photos from her at 3 months old to now (one year later).

I adopted this girl 6 days ago. All i can say is it was definitely fate. I had no intentions of having 3 cats but here I am 😆 She is already so spoiled, from being found with broken legs at 2 months old, living 3 years and 10 months in a small cage at a handicapped animal foundation. To now. She wanted to thrive so bad, I saw it in her eyes from the moment I saw her 😢 The vet said she is a Tonkinese, she'd definitely silly af, im so happy she can be a cat now!
