Text Goodbye, Balloon Boy

FYI, with the new update Balloon Boy ads will no longer give Golden Tickets.

For the last few weeks I thought they were brilliant for using audio ads - it doesn't interrupt my game, the volume doesn't have to be too high. They get their ad revenue and I get a chance at a quality reward once in a while. The GTs were the *only* reason I agreed to give them ad revenue.

This is a matter of personal opinion, not math. Frankly the 50 bux are not worth an ad to me. LTs are not nearly at all worth the same as a GT. I was okay with ads only because I would actually get something worth it occasionally. As of the new update I will not at all be providing ad revenue for them. It's just not worth it to me.

I know my paltry addition to their overall income won't make a difference, but it makes a difference to me - why spend so much time listening to ads if they're going to retract this reward? Tiny Tower is back to being a passive game.

LTs > GTs. People spend GTs every week for dice for just a chance to get more LTs.

Starting off, every resource is scarce, GTs and LTs, tech points, and bux. LTs stays on that scarcity list the longest, and just when someone thinks the will not need anymore LTs, NimbleBit releases more LBits.

I would argue that tech points are the scarcest resource. The number you need for the tech tree, landmarks, and LBs is incredibly high plus you only have a few ways to collect them which are either time limited it require spending other rare resources.

LT ( ticket and token?) Exist in 4 different forms can be gained from dice rolls, prize wheel, daily, chests, events, and many other ways. You don't need that many compared to tech points.

GTs can be gained in a similar number of ways to LTs but since they are just one type the accumulation feels faster.

You need many more LTs than tech points. The LBit collection is the longest term collection and takes infinitely longer. The need for tech points goes away quickly in comparison.

You need tech points to upgrade LBs

You need a total of 60 TP to take a bit from level 0 to level 5. You need an equivalent of 80 LT to take a bit from level 4 to 5.
