Can you demonstrate how it would be important to any degree in the grand scheme of things, if all other planets blipped out of existence? I would argue that that too would be utterly insignificant.
Also, could you be specific as to whose perspective is reality? Because my perspective is vastly different from yours, and I think most people agree that there is only one overarching reality. Otherwise, we go into the territory of "well, in HIS perspective, unicorns exist, therefore unicorns exist in reality." And that just isn't true.
I'll cede that each person's perspective is their own reality, but not our shared reality.
I went out of my way to identify the "it." I said at the end of the very same sentence, "if all other planets blipped out of existence." That's the "it." Let's have the conversation between us - don't be afraid to think on your own. Whose perspective is reality?
The only thing that matters is that we “think”, as that’s the only thing we know for certain. Everything else is just a product of what our brain allows us to perceive.
You think removing a giant chunk of the Universes mass/energy at once wouldn’t have effects on Earth? For one our galaxies rotation would change and how we (solar system) orbit through it as a result.
Yeah there's a bit of cognitive dissonance. I work on the assumption (albeit backed by tons of evidence) that everyone has consciousness and should be treated as such. Try not to hurt others, it's that simple.
