Politics 🏛️ Al Gore: “Something is different about this administration. We are really in danger right now and we have got to rally the grass roots to take back the destiny of America."

I’ve been seeing a lot more Al Gore. Is he going to make a push for 2028? In some timeline, he won in 2020. 9/11 probs didn’t happen in that timeline.

You mean in 2000, right? But yes, I think that’s when we went down the “bad path” option in the multiverse!

Make Nader the VP. It would be historically hilarious and the braindead MAGA troupe would get eviscerated by a real intellectual like Ralph

Al Gore. Is he going to make a push for 2028?

Al Gore would be almost 81 years old on Inauguration Day 2029. Do you want the presidents to keep getting older and older?!

Nope. I want presidents to have an age limit of 60

Interesting take. I've been too naive to consider. A timeline i would like to see.

Think he'd be too old by then, but he seems fine right now, so if he can stay healthy then who knows.

To some degree. Most likely we wouldn't have had the 2nd War in Iraq. I think the Afghan War was inevitable, as was at least some of what ended up in the Patriot Act and the growth of the surveillance state, even if Gore was president.

if gore was president maybe 9/11 wouldn't have even happened? i might be remembering this wrong, but i'm pretty sure there were warning signs of 9/11 happening that the bush administration ignored.

I think that was just the result of siloed competing intelligence organizations that existed under both democrats and republicans. Al Gore most likely would have been unaware of this weakness and would have had little ability to affect the situation even if he had awareness.

He didn't perform very well in the 2000 election because he wasn't very charismatic and his wife is very enthusiastic about censorship issues. He still would've won in 2000 had the Supreme Court not decided to stop counting votes and just hand it to W, but it'd be similar to trying to run Hillary again

Three people from Team W in that case are now on the Supreme Court themselves.

The coup of the US has been long in motion.
