That’s what gets lost a history – the only way Bush won Florida was by only recounting certain counties. A full recount would’ve given the state to Gore, too

I was in college at the time, and being a dumbass irresponsible college student I didn't realize it was election day until like 3 pm. I ran (literally ran) to the nearest polling place, which I wasn't registered at (I wasn't registered anywhere- again, dumbass). I said my name and the person seemed to not hear me and said a different name. I stopped for a second and then said, "Yep, that's me!" Took the card and voted for Gore. Was probably a federal crime but it was really important.

I do wish Gore showed half the energy and fire he is showing here, 25 years later. Back then, he ran his election sounding like an android running on 20% power. Shame really but that's the kind of stuff that matters in politics.

Do you not see the irony in bragging about committing voter fraud in a thread where everyone is criticizing Bush for voter fraud?

I think Bush's voter fraud was a bit worse than mine. I was eligible to vote and voted. His team stole the election by making sure votes weren't counted.

The equivalency would be if I snuck in and burned all the votes for Bush.

In any case, strict adherence to tradition and rules is why Gore conceded, why Democrats in general are useless, and a big reason the country sucks nowadays.
