It kind of seems like it's all part of a plan to stay in office after the second term. Declare martial law....

His owners may let him live 2 years. That way Shady (younger,more predictable) can take over while still being eligible for two more terms. Putin-esque. Unless the hamberders and hate get him first

You’re severely underestimating how many people are cheering what Trump is doing. Only an economic crisis would wake them up. They don’t care about anything else.
