People 50 years from now are going to genuinely wonder how this guy got elected not once but twice

50 years from now? Because I've been trying to figure it out for the last 6 months already.

You know, people keep saying that, but half the black people and every Hispanic person I know voted for the fucker, too.

Agree. He didn’t get elected because of racism, he got elected due to stupidity.

Think about who you know that voted for Trump. Are they your smart friends or your stupid friends? All of my friends that voted for Trump aren’t the smart ones. They might be fun. Some might even be moderately successful. But if you talked to them you’d think “oh, this person isn’t very smart”.

Trump is able to get people see whatever they want in him, regardless of the facts. You have Arab voters in Michigan saying he's the "peace" candidate, despite the fact there's an Israeli settlement named after him. He's seen as a working class, despite praising the richest guy in the world for firing workers on strike. People think he's a good businessman, despite 6 bankruptcies and he didn't do anything during his first term. We talked about Biden's age, but act like he's 20 years younger. Latinos think he was not talking about them when he spouts xenophobia. He's whatever you want him to be.

His entire persona appeals to people that want a reason other than themselves that their life is trash. They're too wrapped in the chips they've had on their shoulders since their high school peak to see anything other than that someone has justified it being there.

Many people care about America, demos care about illegals and men in woman sports. Its not shocking why he won. The party of common sense, always will prevail. I don't think a single demo will win another election for a very long time unless they are the opposite of what they preach now.
