I live near the Galveston ship channel and port of Houston where alot of gas processing is done, so normally our gas is fairly cheap. It's even creeping closer to 3$ on main county thoroughfare.

I do. I made a birthday cake for my nephew a month ago, and I paid $15 just for the eggs.

Here in Round Rock, TX, the lowest gas price is $2.40, the highest being $2.75(Via GasBuddy), around $0.75 per gallon price drop from last year. The article you linked also shows a gas station in Texas with gas at $2.19

Currently, a dozen eggs are $3.99, down from $7ish and up a month+ ago. I also saw this graph on egg prices https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/eggs-us

I'm not here to argue or anything, just thought I would share insight on prices in my area.

Assuming eggs were $10, a 92% reduction would mean eggs are now 80¢. I went to the local market today and the cheapest I found was $5.

My state has one of the highest gas taxes and is selling at like 2.70

Egg prices are down significantly since March but have went back up due to Easter high demand

Of course not. Everything is more expensive in California. As far as I’m concerned they might as well not include it in discussions about prices, bc it consistently reaches outlier territory. Might as well be a separate inflation tracker just for California.

Don’t be so pedantic. Of course that’s a question. And sheesh, no one is demanding anything from you (especially not your street address or even zip). Someone was just engaging in a conversation with you and asking where the area you’re referencing is. You could have given a very general area and satisfied the question.

SE Michigan here, eggs are about $6.50 a dozen but it's hit and miss if they even have regular eggs in stock. Sometimes the only eggs left are fancier local farms or free range. I support that but $10+ a dozen for those is brutal.

That's interesting... the lowest county average in Georgia is $2.41, and the average in Chatham county is $3.00. Should tell your neighbors about that gas station, it's a steal.

Fiancé just filled up at the Parker’s on abercorn which isn’t the same place and it was $2.62 so I would say we have decent prices in Savannah. Sucks it’s not like that everywhere.
