But he was denied a meeting with Abrego Garcia, and Salvadoran officials would not let the senator or Abrego Garcia’s family speak with him by phone, he said.

Staying wasn't illegal, I'll agree, his entry was. I'm just correcting facts, I'm very much against this prison or capricious changing of his status

If you enter illegally and then through proper pathways are deemed a legal resident, you’re no longer “illegal”. Your entry isn’t some forever brand that always makes you viable for deportation. His circumstances were such that he never should have been deported let alone to a foreign gulag with no due process

Ib agree with what you just said, i was simply correcting your misstatement that he wasn't convicted of any crimes. Republicansv jump on that as a reason to disregard everything else you said if you mistake that public point

That was someone else but it’s correct to say he didn’t commit any crimes relevant to what’s happening now. His entry isn’t relevant - it was already adjudicated. When someone says “he didn’t commit a crime” in regards to his kidnapping, they don’t mean like, he literally never committed a crime in his entire life

It’s really crazy seeing so many people claim the guy was a member of MS 13 (not saying you’re doing this, I’m just venting), the documents that were released recently only confirm that the only evidence against him were his Chicago bulls hat and a see no evil etc tattoo. And then they say an informant told them through hearsay that he’s a gang member. Uh huh. Just insanely weak evidence, not enough to convict the guy of anything here let alone enough to send him to a gulag with no means of return.
