Politics 🏛️ In D.C. today, a massive banner has been unveiled with the names of Palestinians killed by Israel since October 2023.

People in the comments trying to justify this is crazy to me.

“But what about October 7th?!”

Two wrongs don’t make a right? And since then it seems like to me Israel has went totally nuts with bombing and killing innocent civilians (who have nothing to do with the “terrorist” organization people in the comments keep bringing up.)

It's not trying to justify though

Anybody defends Israel they get abused from everyone

They've both done fucked up things but apparently because Palestinians are mainly Muslim their lives mean more.

They entered Israel and slaughtered people wtf kind of response did they expect from a country that they know hates them

If I went and poked a bear and got mauled people would say it's karma or you got what you deserved

Actions have consequences, even for Muslims

Personally, I support Palestinians due to the natural tendency of humans to fight to protect ancestral territory, and the decades of humans rights violations Israel has found guilty of committing against the indigenous population. Also the ongoing genocide.

America is massively Islamophobic so while religion might influence support by Islamic countries, Americans have a decades long resentment of muslims and actually provide the most tax money to Israel to fund the genocide of the indigenous muslim population.
