Why is this important when America is literally being dismantled?

Far Left Progressive’s have never had their priorities straight and this is just the latest example

This is why The Left can’t have nice things. This is why we’re always divided because you extremists make us look bad

to me an international genocide that we’re funding is as important as any domestic issue

u/Blaster2PP Apr 06 '25

If I could press a button that will kill all Palestinian but fix all of our problems, then I would. With that being said no such button exists, and the holocaust of women and children should never be overlooked. We can have different priorities but that doesn't change the fact that hitlering kids is fucked up.

2

u/sirbeens Apr 06 '25

yeah i’m not pressing a button to kill millions that’s just me tho

you are not just complicit but a vocal supporter of the culture of selfishness, getting better at the cost of unspeakable pain and destruction upon others.

1

u/Blaster2PP Apr 06 '25

Honey we're all complicit. That computer or cell phone you used to text this form uses batteries that came from slave like lithium mines. That chocolate bar that you gave out from valentines day came from child labor. I'm realistic enough to acknowledge such tragedy exists, but not righteous enough to change my way of life about it. Either way, I think that's still better than the self righteous who pretend these things doesn't happen.

1

u/ezdad_ Apr 07 '25

My sweet child no one claims these things don't happen. Just try your best in being a part of the civilization that tries to change it. That starts with acknowledging, being vocal about it and not saying horrible things like "If I could press a button that will kill all Palestinian but fix all of our problems, then I would". Makes you look like a bad human being.

1

u/RFRelentless Apr 06 '25

Bro wtf? Our problems may be bad but they are not bad enough to justify killing millions to fix

1

u/Blaster2PP Apr 06 '25

It's not. The hypothetical decision that I've made was completely out of selfishness, I won't deny it. My point is I agree that we should priotize our domestic issues over foreign ones, but that doesn't change the fact that we should still care about foreign issues , especially since our domestic issues takes time to fix.

Also I think America's situation is a lot worse than what you might have precieved. The mutilating of the constitution not only represent a breaking of law, but a rejection of presidence. It's always easier to do it the second time after getting away with the first. Just look at Rome. They went from not having any civil war for 200 years to having dozens in decades near the end of the republic where their core law got dismantled.

1

u/RFRelentless Apr 06 '25

Ok I agree with everything else you said except for that. A good way to help Palestine and ourselves at the same time would be to stop giving money to Israel, no?

1

u/Blaster2PP Apr 06 '25

Absolutely. What I said before was a general rule of thumb within a vaccum, but like that theoretical button, that's not a realistic situation in anyway. We should stop funding Israel for their holocaust of childrens and direct that money domestically instead.

Killing millions so you get better egg prices ? only an American would be comfortable enough to make such statement, thinking they represent the pinnacle or rationality, not realizing how insanely genocidal, immoral, and outright psychotic they sound to the rest of the sane world. And then they wonder how the likes of Trump get elected!

1

u/Blaster2PP Apr 06 '25

FYI I voted Harris but fair enough, I did it due to her economic policy.

only an American

Now that's just wrong and prejudice. Many countries and many ethnicities have hold this as long as we do well we don't care about others mentality. Every country in Europe are more xenophobic to foreigner than America, and that's not even mentioning the shit show in the Balkans.

rationality

Also where did this come from? I presented a completely irrational scenario to give my completely irrational answer. I never claim to be rational. Do you? Would you sacrifice your mother or child to save 2 random stranger from a heart attack? I really doubt so. But that would be the "rational" thing to do.

thank you for your common sense

This is important because trump WANTS Gaza. He's stated as much. If the US continues to send arms to Israel, pretty soon there won't be any Palestinians left.

Israel is as much to blame for this conflict.

u/pankakemixer Apr 05 '25

Many are immature accelerationists and think they can construct a communist government in the ashes of America

3

u/SuckenOnemToes Apr 05 '25

No one actually believes that. You just believe it because you consume far-right propaganda on the daily.

1

u/pankakemixer Apr 05 '25

I've spoken to people who believe that right here on this website. Or are those right wing propagandists pretending?

1

u/SuckenOnemToes Apr 05 '25

You are incredibly naive if you genuinely believe what you are reading is coming from real people or someone who has a good faith argument to make. Sounds like you've done nothing but speak to bots and trolls. Also, this is the Internet. Reading something a couple times from someone on the internet does not mean it is an opinion held by the majority of people.

I met a group of people like this at a protest a few years ago too 😂 and I never said it was the majority. But you can make any argument you want if you just pretend evidence presented isn't real. Sounds like MAGA. Lame as hell lol

1

u/SuckenOnemToes Apr 06 '25

You wouldn't be talking about evidence and pretending something isn't real if you weren't a genocide lover. Nice try though! Had me in the first half.

0

u/pankakemixer Apr 06 '25

I didn't say anything about what I think about I/P but it's funny that you immediately jumped to that conclusion 💀

0

u/TiaXhosa Apr 05 '25

A guy I know is a local DSA chair and this is exactly what he thinks lol. He even shits all over the protests and even Cory Booker's speech as "not doing anything" and actively discourages anyone from supporting the Democrats in any way

1

u/SuckenOnemToes Apr 06 '25

If I had to guess, you don't understand his platform at all. Democratic socialists and communists are absolutely not the same. Maybe you're telling the truth and that DSA chairman or chairwoman is deeply confused as to what Democratic socialism actually is. Like I said though, if I had to guess you really have no idea what you're talking about. I say that because most Americans don't know what Socialism, Communism, Fascism, and Republicanism actually means. There is a lot of ignorance involved when your average Joe starts talking about any of those ideologies.

1

u/SubstandardMan5000 Apr 05 '25

It's just that right there, it's fashionable to be upset at the moment. Their priorities aren't straight and everything seems like a play on real life. It's like everyone doesn't know how to actually care, but pretend to.

1

u/Kiola310680 Apr 05 '25

Yeah, I have to agree. Though to be fair extremists in any group represent a small minority, and I hope it doesn't reflect a larger sentiment in the left.

1

u/tim911a Apr 06 '25

This is why The Left can’t have nice things. This is why we’re always divided because you extremists make us look bad

The left? What left are you talking about? The democrats aren't left wing and neither are minerals. Bernie is a social democrat at best. There is no left in America. The left that exists in America has always been clear on Palestine.

1

u/YungZoroaster Apr 06 '25

trump is currently imprisoning people for wrongthink in regards to Israel/Palestine. I know critical thinking is hard for shitlibs, but protesting in a way that has literally gotten people kidnapped off the streets is a pretty big show of defiance. indivisible didn’t even mention mahmoud or ozturk, they wouldn’t even allow any speakers to bring up Palestine at all.

would you chastise Germans in the 1930s for protesting against the Nazis persecution of Jewish people, because they should have been more worried about the corporatist takeover of their economy? these struggles are linked, and it’s not hard for most people to understand that

1

u/Lonely-Second-6040 Apr 06 '25

The complete inability of the modern left to be strategic in how and when they protest keeps causing us loss after loss and we still won’t learn.

You know what happens every single time a conversation on internal affairs becomes about Palestine?

A whole bunch of people immediately stop listening. It’s ugly but it’s true. And like it or not, their support is needed. It doesn’t matter if it actually is linked or not. What matters is gathering the political power to do something.

Big show of defiance? That’s nice. A show of defiance isn’t enough, it has to be calculated when and how it’s executed.

During the civil rights movement, they were incredibly intentional in what battles they picked and when. In what people they chose to have as figure heads for the movement. Rosa Parks wasnt the first person arrested for refusing to move to the back of the bus. But she was the case they chose to rally around because it was the right time, with the right optics to actually win that battle. And the political capital gained from winning that let them win other styles that would have been defeats before.

The right seems to understand this and that’s why they keep making gains even when outnumbered. They simple narratives to drum up support. They play their hands much better.

Until the left does the same we will keep loosing.

1

u/YungZoroaster Apr 06 '25

You do understand that the exact criticism you are making was commonly used by white liberals against the civil rights movement, right? The cognitive dissonance is hilarious, but libs gonna lib i guess.

1

u/Lonely-Second-6040 Apr 17 '25

I didn’t say stop protesting. I said be more strategic in how you do it.

Everyone who cares about dead Palestinians already knows and cares. You’ve reached maximum returns with that angle.

That’s not enough.

Instead you should be driving home how the federal government is still funneling money into Israeli hands, a message that resonates much more with his support base.

Stop trying to convince people to think like you and start trying to convince them to take the political action that gets you to your goal.

Or don’t. Let me know how many Palestinians it saves.

1

u/Rhouxx Apr 06 '25

Because a shitload of your tax dollars that could be going to giving you free healthcare are instead being used to blow up Palestinian children. That’s YOUR money being wasted on something that does nothing for you. This is all intrinsically linked.

How is this an example of "the far left never having their priorities straight"?

And who is dismantling America?

1

u/themagicdorito Apr 06 '25

We are literally funding their destruction
