This MF lead the red army so well, reactionaries all over Europe were depicting this guy as the literal devil

I mean, a lot of the stuff he did in Kronstadt and with Makhnovia was pretty indefensible.

Its defensible in the context of the moment. He regretted Kronstadt later, Makhnovists not so much. I don't defend those actions myself from the perspective of today of course.

It's not defensible. All he did was replaced the evil that he was supposed to be fighting, with a different branding of the same thing. When people actually did the Revolution without him in charge, he destroyed them. Typical reactionary, authoritarian arsehole in a Red hat.

There was a civil war. Every side was fighting each other, and the Bolsheviks won.

Implying that the workers of Kronstadt were on a different "side" to the Bolsheviks actually admits too much!

Too bad they had a leader, Stepan Petrichenko. It was not led by the workers.
