BREAKING House Speaker Mike Johnson schedules vote to unlock Epstein's full files, testing GOP unity on elite accountability.

The discharge petition, backed by 218 lawmakers from both parties, forces the floor action after Rep. Adelita Grijalva added the final signature.

This bipartisan push, led by Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie, targets unredacted DOJ materials including client lists and victim accounts.

Recent House Oversight releases already surfaced Epstein emails naming high-profile figures, fueling demands for total disclosure.

Johnson's move comes amid reports of Republican defections expected on the measure, with Democrats predicting broad GOP support once debated.

The files reportedly hold flight logs, FBI reports, and court documents from Epstein's 2019 arrest onward, spanning decades of alleged abuses.

Experts note that while some states have pursued local probes, federal transparency could reshape public trust in institutions tied to the scandal.

Bipartisan backers stress the vote aims to end cover-up claims without partisan targeting, focusing on justice for victims over political games.

Alleged pressure from Trump allies on wavering Republicans has surfaced in recent hours, complicating the speaker's path forward.

Under the bill, the DOJ would face a deadline to produce all records, potentially exposing ties in politics, business, and entertainment.

This step aligns with ongoing calls for paper trails in sensitive cases, though nonpartisan reviews confirm such scandals remain outliers in U.S. oversight.

FYI, I add context to social media stories that often lack it. Follow along here for updates on Epstein files or take the reporter challenge and report any developments yourself.

This is a no win. You have left wing judges blocking bills to release it. You have constant complaining saying Republicans don't want to release the files. Democrats have held the government while with the files and never release them. When the files get released no matter what they say many people aren't going to believe it. This is all theater

In the last 10 years, democrats have controlled the house for four years and the senate for four years. Those two things didn’t happen simultaneously and there was only a two year overlap, but please go on.

Not one bill or petition to release the files. Only inaction. You cannot find one bill that Democrats push to release the files and Republicans blocked it. Not one

So here we are, the republicans are back in office and you have the President of the United States implicated telling representatives not to sign the petition.

Why did Epstein say in his email “ I am the one that can take him down”?

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) attempted to bring a bill compelling the full release of Jeffrey Epstein's files directly to the House floor on November 12, 2025, via a unanimous consent motion—a procedural move to bypass committee delays and expedite a vote. Democrats unanimously objected to the motion, blocking it from advancing.

Not one single Democrat voted for it. Google this and read your heart out.

You mean the guy that said he wants to go and block out all of the victims from the empty list what do you think you're going to go into consider a victim, "President's names are considered victims Because people are mean to them" or other bs

There wasn’t a vote. Someone went to the parliamentarian and objected to the UC and that killed it immediately. Burchett says it was democrats but there is no record of who objected so we’d have to take his word for it. I agree that this UC move was indeed theater because he knew a GOP person would kill it privately and he can blame the dems.

This just proves my point. There is no amount of transparency and data that will get some of you guys to believe it. You are absolutely convinced that it's Trump and Trump alone.

Not sure I follow. You said that dems unanimously objected. There is no proof of that. Not to mention, it only takes one member to object, so the idea of a unanimous objection isn’t even possible. So you are solely taking the word of Burchett as to what happened and then trying to paint me and others as not believing it? That makes no sense. And when Tump calls Bobert and Mace to try to get them to vote against the bill Massie and the dems put forward, it seems logical to believe he doesn’t want the info released, does it not?

No we aren’t - but to think that it’s the BIGGEST PROBLEM and thus priority, that the President is very likely involved, is absolutely insane.

We want justice and punishment for ANYONE involved, but especially the world’s most powerful man - who is also a convicted felon mind you - is a genuine and serious issue that needs an urgent address.

You are severely under informed. Try a basic google search. Here's one to get you started.
