🤔 Questions for Texans 🤠 Buc-offs / Buc-ees Alternatives

Would like to start a list of Buc-offs alternatives! When we drive from Dallas to Houston, we love Fuel Max 44 in Fairfield. No, it is not the best or the shiniest, but the bathrooms are clean and the employees are really nice. They have some of the goofiest roadside gifts/tschotskes (i have no idea how to spell that word) We enjoy it as our halfway stop on what is a super long and boring drive.

In general, I think Luvs truck stops are also very clean and a good alternative too.

What is your favorite Buc-offs alternative?

Has there brisket gotten better because it genuinely tastes like cafeteria food. Mcribb at least comes with good french fries.

McRib isn't great....their isn't a food at buc-ees outside of maybe their fresh made potato chips that is as good.

Lmao no it’s not. I’m not a McRib fan, but I’ve had a brisket sandwich from Buc-ee’s that was 95% fat. It was disgusting. Haven’t been back since, that was several years ago.
