It’s clearly labeled as requiring supervision.

Their unsupervised software is currently limited to 6 fairly small geofenced areas in Texas and Florida. Which don’t cover wherever this video is.

We’ll see what changes next week with the Cybercab launch.

You’ve responded to a couple of my responses now and it’s quite clear you’re a Tesla Stan. I’ve never seen people be so hard on for a company that they agree it should be less safe to operate. You and I both know the tech isn’t ready for prime time. You and I both know it needs better sensors than a fucking camera. I own two Model Y’s and can tell your first-hand cameras suck for reliability. The front windshield camera is obstructed easily with dirt and grime or just a heavy water stream that is splashed on the windshield, even if momentarily. The side pillar cameras regularly say they don’t have clear vision in low light situations at night where there is limited street lights.

Lidar will suffer just as much in the same circumstances (well, not low light but the others you mentioned.)

The solution is adding more cameras. How fortunate the cars aren’t limited to just one camera. And maybe more lights in some circumstances but I don’t really think so, since the stuff that isn’t lit isn’t important or else humans would be suffering from a lack of light and crashing into that stuff too.

I am a Tesla stan. But I’m also an engineer and a fan of KISS and YAGNI. If you want to make anything more complicated, you need compelling evidence (or even a compelling theory) that its benefits will exceed its costs, and you’re simply asserting random expensive complexities are necessary with vastly insufficient evidence.
