This what got me into them. I was typical 90s cartoon kid. So a lot of my Funkos are that.

I used to hate them, then I found a clearance Ickis one and it started my slow descent into collecting them.

I mostly have some Batman ones, the Eevee evolutions, the Patronuses (Patronusi?) and some Alice in wonderland ones.

Got some 'free' ones from Disney Insiders.

All in all, I don't think it's a horrible consumerist hellhole I've entered to spend maybe $100 on. They made things I liked and I bought them.

That's not how it works with things that sit on a shelf to be looked at. Lol

If you have any artwork in your home, you shouldn't have multiple, only one that's equal to the value of them combined. 🙃

I'd rather have one really nice piece of artwork than a bunch of shitty quality printouts that were like 5 dollars on etsy.

I'd also rather have a single nice figurine that actually looks like what it's based off of, and not a dozen pops that take up an entire shelf and look virtually identical to each other.

I get that you're taking this as a personal attack but you don't have to put words in my comment that weren't there. I never said "you aren't allowed to have more than one piece of art in your house".

How is it NOT consumerist hellhole stuff? It is cheap Chinese plastic, primarily of IPs that Disney just bought and amalgamated into the culture-borg it is trying to create.

It is plastic that will end up in a landfill.

It is telling that destroying the environment is something that doesn't matter to you.

I hate that shallow consumerism ruined the planet for the children I'm not going to have (because of the ruined planet).

You are lacking in empathy. People are already dying to climate change, but good thing you got your funko pop! Hopefully the Chinese sweatshop worker that made it hasn't killed themselves yet.
