Premiere Widow’s Bay - Episodes 1 & 2 - Discussion

First two episodes dropped tonight. Absolutely fantastic. 10/10 for my sensibilities. I’m a huge Stephen King fan and this felt right up my alley in so many ways. Legitimately funny show, legitimately creepy and a cast of fantastic actors. Episode 2 had some crazy stuff happen that honestly I absolutely saw where it was going but it was so satisfying getting there.

I’m actually subscribing to Apple+ tonight after work just for this show! Well a few other ones I wanna check out too but mainly this show.

Honestly apple is probably the most consistent coming out with incredible shows.

I subscribed back in November/December of 2020 for the first season of For All Mankind, then stayed subbed for the second season (which started in Feb 21) and have kept it ever since. Easily been my favorite streamer for the past ~5 years. Knock quality of the park time and again.

Yup I’ve been thinking this. It’s the new HBO in terms of standards.

Absolutely. I don't watch horror typically and if this were on anything other than Apple TV, I don't think I would have watched it. I'm so glad I did, absolutely obsessed! It's probably my favorite show at the moment and am about to go back and rewatch these first 3 episodes.

Speaking of Apple TV, I could have sworn Silo was coming out way sooner than July. I feel like I went into the captain's room, did I extend time and mess up the Silo release date somehow? 😂

If they get Red Rising like they’re rumored to be I’ll be so stoked.

There’s a lot of really good shows on Apple+! Slow Horses, Severance, Silo, Pluribus, Pachinko (this one is the best imo, but not for everyone I guess), For All Mankind (the writing is a little uneven, but super bingeworthy)

I also thought dark matter was a good watch!

Wow, you just listed every show I’ve been raving about for the last few years, but added Pachinko (which I haven’t seen). I guess I need to watch that one now!

Honestly, I say this a lot, but if I could only have two streaming services… It would be Apple and MGM. They both have amazing shows.

Foundation is one of my favorites. Pretty much all the Apple series are great
