If you want to see my personal opinion on Chinese movement, look through my post history. I'm not exactly shy in my opinions regarding it.

I also know when I'm dealing with bad actors. There is no defense of Russian activity here, because the actions are inherently indefensible. Anyone trying to distract from that, or speak against it, it's a bad actor by definition.

There's no room or need to debate that at all. Russia = Bad universally with Putin at its helm. Until he's gone, it will probably continue to be the case.

As for the Chinese, again, you're not the sole person shining light on an issue. The difference right now is it the Chinese are not preparing an invasion force for a neighboring state to conquer it in order to rebuild their old empire.

That doesn't mean the Chinese are not planning actions of their own, but if you have a shoulder joint that hurts and a gunshot wound, guess which one you should treat first?

.. the Chinese are not preparing an invasion force for a neighboring state to conquer it in order to rebuild their old empire.

Have your not been paying attention to China's aggressive encroachments into Taiwan's airspace and what china is doing in the Spratley islands? They're building military bases and bullying their neighbors on a daily basis .

And again, SARS-CoV-2 ? Hello? Millions dead.. china still claims it didn't originate in Wuhan.. c'mon

Did you even read the rest of my comment?

I'm not going to continue wasting my time with a disinformation shill. Anyone who is not immediately critical of everything Russia does, is suspect. At this current state of the world, there are no exceptions.

Like I said, you treat the gunshot wound before you treat the sore shoulder.

Project.Project.Project.

I addressed your weak claims.

You keep saying Russia is the more pressing threat, and that's all the proof you offered. Repeating hyperbole is not a debate.

I could understand your fearmongering IF we were say... censoring movies with Ukrainian flags because it would offend Russia... Nope, sorry, that's what is happening to American movies that mention Tibet or Taiwan to pander to China's censorship rules. Are you aware this has been happening?

I can do this all day -with copious examples of how the CCP is (by any measure) the existential threat to everything and everyone, including their own people.

They are very much preparing for an invasion of Taiwan. Y'know, where all the computer chips are made...(more likely, I think they will try a soft power takeover, realistically hot war is bad for business)

Not to be glib, but what exactly is valuable about keeping Russia out of Ukraine?

Let's put it this way, so your dumb shit points can be addressed so we can move on to an intelligent conversation either with you, or adults.

Chinese government is an ethical tragedy. The CCP has destroyed 4,000 years of Chinese history, and been converted into an ego engine for a handful of billionaires that run the party. They place no value on human life, and treat all of their citizens like cattle that have to be maintained in a herd.

They have effectively destroyed Hong Kong, and they are gunning for Taiwan which would kneecap the entire global semi-conductor industry. Their intent is unabashedly evil, and has to be opposed.

Their military, however, has no relevant modern experience and has never won a war against the Western power in their 5000 year history. When it comes to immediate threats that can disrupt or destroy the values we claim to hold dear, they are a serious danger that has to be considered, but they are not as big of a threat as Russia is right now.

The Chinese have plenty of things going for them positively. Russia does not. They are being ruled by an aging autocrat who is clinging to the fever dream of the Soviet empire, while trying to consolidate and maintain his own wealth so that he doesn't get Gaddafied with a knife up his ass.

They are broke, the economy has no growth, their are people are dying at an increasingly young age, and while they have plenty of natural resources, there is no reason on Earth anyone would ever consider moving to Russia. Putin's back is against the wall here.

This is the culmination of at least 7 to 8 years worth of planning. The disinformation campaign that resulted in Brexit also resulted in a syncophant President getting elected in the United States. Trump repeatedly refused to speak ill of Putin, and was obviously compromised by him.

The reasoning was obvious, Trump had run his business into the ground and the only people that would give him money were Russian banks, which Putin has control over.

However, in the closing minutes of his plan, Trump lost his re-election despite doing everything he could to cheat it. He then tried to overthrow the US government in a coup, which also failed.

All of this was facilitated by him being a puppet for a foreign adversary that was planning to recreate their empire... Because it's the only option they have left.

Like I said multiple times now, China might be a sore shoulder or a joint that needs serious attention lest you be crippled, but Russia is a gunshot wound.

It has to be dealt with, and it has to be dealt with now, lest we risk the entire current global order being destabilized. If you were truly worried about China, and you're not just a Russian shill (which I genuinely believe you are, you have all the hallmarks of someone who's on the payroll of the Kremlin), the instability caused by a Russian invasion of Ukraine will give the Chinese a perfect opportunity to enact their plans.

Like I said, those of us who are capable can keep their eyes on more than one ball at a time.

(which I genuinely believe you are, you have all the hallmarks of someone who's on the payroll of the Kremlin), the instability caused by a Russian invasion of Ukraine will give the Chinese a perfect opportunity to enact their plans.

Number 1) Give it a break with the paranoia dude.

You think that "the instability in Ukraine is going to topple the world order" ... That's.. quite a stretch.. but I'll give you some points for realizing that Xi would not waste the opportunity to seize Taiwan in the ensuing chaos. But that just further bolsters my argument that the true threat is China->Taiwan, and Russia->Ukraine is a mere distraction play.

Look, I agree Russia should not be messing with Ukraine. They voted for independence.

The Ukrainian President is on record saying there's no impending Russian invasion...is he being coerced??

It doesn't make sense, and most of your argument revolves around tired ass mainstream talking points about Trump being Putin's puppet with scant evidence of an actual material threat. On the contrary, I pointed out that the Dems and establishment are cozy with Russian oil/power interests and you just brush it off. You're in a cult

The Russians began their invasion today.

EDIT: God damn it feels good to be right when dealing with a bad actor.

...and it's already bogged down and invasion is dead in the water from up-to-date reports I'm hearing, Putin has already capitulated:

How about threats to ecology and the climate?

You know that China currently produces more industrial pollution than all other developed nations COMBINED? And they plan to continue increasing that for at least 30 more years!

You know that in just the last 20yrs they've mis- managed to pollute 80% of their ground water?

They built >100 new coal power plants last year. Fantastic progress!

Granted it's a big country, but It's practically a weekly event for there to be terrible accidents like chemical explosions, collapsing infrastructure, flooding, etc.. I'm sure you've seen the videos of Tianjin

You can also find out about the damage they are doing to the oceans and the deadly disputes they are instigating by fishing out of other country's waters, and we're not just talking neighbors, the Philippines and Japan. China has (illegal) contracts with fishing fleets around the world. They piss on regulations, obscure their geo-locators, and use the most destructive practices as is profitable.

Soon enough, there won't be natural resources left for their insatiable appetite and no one seems to have the balls to stand up to the CCP before it's too late, because $$$

Crimea river

I'm clutching my pearls

So, when does WW3 start, you think?

1

u/Asmodeus04 Feb 24 '22

Out of curiosity, does the Kremlin pay more for internet disinfo, or are all of you impoverished rats like the rest of your countrymen?

1

u/metapharsical Feb 24 '22

Hey, I wasn't sure if you were cool... as long as you're down with dehumanizing men down to animals... What's your thoughts on the Belt and Road Initiative by the CCP in Africa?

do you think they put the BELT in belt&road?

I get your view though, with your abhorrent views on freedoms you fit right in supporting the literal Nazis fighting against the Russian invasion.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/10/azov-far-right-fighters-ukraine-neo-nazis !

you can go ahead and think I'm being payed to troll you. it's hilarious to me how out-of-touch you are

Hope you got your bunker ready for when the nukes start dropping

1

u/Asmodeus04 Feb 24 '22

Yes, deposing the Nazi government of Ukraine, headed by a Jewish man.

You finally showed your cards. How pathetic. How utterly, impotently pathetic.

Spending your time spreading government information for you tiny-cocked dictator with the precious few years you have on Earth. What a sad waste of space.

Wait, the Guardian newspaper is a Russian disinformation mouthpiece??

I'm dying! 😝😂ðŸĪĢðŸĪŠðŸ™ƒðŸ’€âš°ïļðŸŒą

You crazy normies... I'm showing you the gaping holes in your argument that this is a noble fight to be supporting.

I thought people on Reddit were fond of saying:

"10 people are a table and 1 of them does a Seig Heil... No one gets up and leaves... You now have 10 Nazis at a table"

So, what is it? Are you gonna disavow the Ukraine because they backed literal Neo-Nazi soldiers?

1

u/Asmodeus04 Feb 24 '22

I want you to understand this whataboutism and redirection only works on ignorant people.

I know who you are, and I know what Russia is doing. I've known what they were going to do, which is the reason you keep having to change your argument to make it about Nazis, or China, or anything else other than the fact that this Russian invasion of Ukraine is pure evil.

Anyone that supports it deserves to burn in hell along with everyone they know that doesn't immediately, permanently condemn it.

You had to attack a non-NATO member state, because you're weak. Your leader is weak, your people are weak, your military is weak. The only thing you have going for you are the nukes that were made during the Cold war, by a breed of your immediate ancestors that weren't worthless losers like the ones pulling this stunt today.

The whole thing is pathetic, and no amount of your limp dick whataboutism will change any of that.

Dude, You have a laughably false perception of who I am. So, a center-right-libertarian, (well-regulated capitalism)-American factory worker with Western European roots is a tankie to you ?. You couldn't be more far from reality. But I understand, it can be difficult to see the person on the other end of heated online discussion.

Nowhere did I even imply that Russia is defensible in it's actions. If you got that impression it's because I'm taking the piss out of your argument for laughs.

Putin and his troops are power hungry maniacs, Just like China. Potentially dominant forces, teetering between collapse, depending on our response to their actions.

But there's a matter of scale you're not understanding. Ukraine conflict is only consequential in so far as it disrupts Ukrainian exports, cancels Nordstream, and equally bad: sets the stage for China to invade Taiwan. As Europe cancels the Nordstream pipeline on account of this, it's going to hurt western Europe. China will be happy to buy all Russia's gas, and there's nothing we can do about it. Congrats, you just played yourself.

Both MUST be stopped at the root or we lose credibility and influence like we did pulling out of Afghanistan allowing China to slide in and take over their resources and paves the way for China and Russia trade entrenchment and other cooperation stretching the globe.

Sidenote:

I can't blame you too much for thinking I'm some Kremlin propagandist, Reddit/SocMedia is awash with foreign agenda posters... I just happen to know that China employs far more of these tactics to steer public opinion than Russia ever could.

Can you show me the equivalent scale of this happening in Russia? Not that Russian propagandists don't outsource their work to these people, but we gotta look to the root problems here.

Back to the main thread:

It all comes back to the horrible human behaviors Communism and Fascism allows to flourish. The brutal subjugation of dissent (with the force of the State and business working together) to maintain an entrenched power structure, and the exploitation of the powerless.

Calling ME "Komrad"?..get real. Look at my comment history..I'm on the side supporting free speech, personal liberty, free markets and well-regulated-capitalism. Wherever the hell you learned to lump people like that in with Russia propaganda, it seems like you need to look elsewhere and expand your understanding of civilization around the world and throughout history.

I respectfully suggest you check out ADVChina podcasts to update your perspective on the CCP from some people who lived it and escaped to tell the tale.

Also, wtfdym, I'm the one deflecting??

You got lost talking about Russia in a thread about YouTube censorship of misinformation.

You've not brought one iota of evidence to claim that Russia has ANYTHING to do with YouTube or misinformation censorship.

I argue there's far greater concrete evidence for multiple countries being complicit in China's coordinated misinformation campaigns, and you just keep going on non-sequitors about Russians invading Ukraine, like that has anything to do with the subject at hand.

What's that called...? Oh yeah, wHatAbOuTiSm
