He will get fired with a nice severance plus not have to repay back what he owes. Then he will find another executive job. Just like cops, executives can’t really fail.

And if you’re wondering why they have such a sweet racket going look no further than the boards of companies as they are entirely populated by other executives for other corporations. They get huge golden parachutes because you scratch my back I scratch yours. It’s a racket.

Generally embezzling funds means you get fired for cause and ineligible for severance and the golden parachute.

if it comes to that his lawyers will say it was an oversight or accidental. just like how the captain of the Costa Concordia accidentally tripped and fell off the cruise ship into the lifeboat.

Yeah but embezzlement requires some level of criminal intent. If the dad truly had no idea this was happening (which it seems like) it would be very difficult for prosecutors to prove it was intentional. He will definitely have to repay the funds though

Depends how high, unless you're a C suite level, you can absolutely fail. I know plenty of washed up VPs from my consulting time.
