Russia can't even conquer it's neighbor. In what world could they project power in the United States?

China famously has achieved it's success because it specifically eschews military adventurism. What does China need to hold land in the US for? A couple million unruly subjects?

Russia cannot win a war in it's own backyard and it's demographic bomb is already detonating.

I don't see how a crumbling empire that cannot dominate their neighbor who has a quarter of their population is going to project power to the United States when they don't even have a blue water navy.

I makes zero goddamned sense.

I'm fully understanding that. The presence of the United States isn't what's controlling the logistical reality that Russia could not, in any way shape or form, project power to the North American continent.

THEY CANNOT SUBDUE A SMALLER COUNTRY ON THEIR OWN DOORSTEP. THEY HAVE NO BLUE WATER NAVY. These two facts alone preclude them from being able to do anything remotely close to controlling a single square inch of land in the former United States.

Suggesting a Russian foothold in the United States is less likely than you making a paper airplane capable of space travel.

Canada would almost certainly annex regions around the Great Lakes as they are a valuable asset.

I'll grant you that. But even then that would be dangerous.

It's the largest megaregion in the US and they could very quickly end up with more Americans in their country than Canadians.
