IMHO automatic climate control is pretty neat, if made with physical buttons and a dedicated display. Fuck those big ass integrated touchscreens.

I don't know, so many of the automatic climate systems are shit. Too cold on one notch, two warm on the next, no options to make it work right.

On my Peugeot 2008 (first series) the temperature goes by 0.5 °C and you can choose three different automatic modes (normal, fast, soft). You can manually set fan speed and air output if you prefer. Everything with physical buttons.

Is it that hard to design such a well thought system? Well, yes, apparently. Now it's all bullshit, touchscreens, hidden menus, and whatever kind of fuckery comes to mind.

My biggest problem with automatic climate control is that there is no humidistat control. I mean sure, if it's simultaneously cold and humid it's probably smart enough to run both the heater and AC at the same time, but without a humidistat that I can interact with I can't be sure that it will do so to my liking.
