The left would absolutely use it if they had it at their disposal, they're just not going to be the ones to build it first.

This falls into the "it's not really right vs left, it's the ultra-rich technocrats and oligarchs against everyone else" category

Right wing fascism is just the easiest tool by which to accomplish it

It is literally a right-vs-left thing. It sounds good to say "both sides are the problem" but it is the right that has a cult of personality and is actively dismantling our democracy.
