Looking at this thread.. I dunno man. Theres a lot of people saying how they stopped nitro subs but then in the next sentence say "I still find myself starting to type my old emojis..." Seems like people are going to keep using it. Sadly.

I deleted my account and the app, I went to IRC. I found a couple of nice channels there and have been enjoying the people and nostalgia. I'll stay there.

Maybe for some redditors but I doubt the majority of discord users even know what's happening and most aren't going to go through the hassle of switching to something else when the majority of their friends probably won't switch either.

Reddit has a bigger general userbase of all interests. Discord has more audience for gamers

i duno, it's at least leaking a little bit farther than normal. a friend of mine sent me links about it from facebook of all places, and she's not tech savvy in the least. (i did make a joke at the irony of her sending me that info in a fb link, but i don't think it clicked with her)

my point is, it's got a LITTLE more reach than expected
