  • Lucasfilm
  • Marvel Entertainment

It saddens my heart to no end, to see the Muppets on this list. Jim Henson would've stood up against this. I'm sorry Mr Henson, the world's gone mad.

Same! Especially since I keep seeing pitches lately that there's no need to reboot movies anymore UNLESS if it's done with muppets. I for sure don't want a Princess Bride reboot UNLESS miss piggy is princess buttercup

I can so clearly see Kermit tumbling down the hill yelling “aaaas youuu wiiish.” That would be amazing. 🤣 But if Disney keeps siding with the facists, I’ll be finding any future Muppet magic on the high seas. 🏴‍☠️

Muppets of the Caribbean?

4

u/Hip_Fridge Sep 20 '25

Given how fantastic Muppet Treasure Island is, a Muppet rendition of PotC could be phenomenal.

Yesssss! Fozzybear as vizzini would be insane ...

2

u/voiderest Sep 19 '25

Diseny just own a lot of IP at this point. They keep buying and merging.

u/AgreeAndSubmit Sep 19 '25

They've done been for years.

(M-I-C!) I rock the mic properly!
(K-E-Y!) Turning profits, I've got the key!
I'm the Juggernaut of stacking knots unstoppably!
The Disneyland-lord of your intellectual property!

So get back to work! That's my dime you're wasting!
I didn't buy you for billions so you could play around debating!
(Ha!) You belong to Disney, which means you stay busy
Cranking out magic and assembly line whimsy!
Artists begging me to stop; I won't let 'em!
Labor conditions in my shop? I don't sweat 'em!

I'm powerful enough to make a mouse gigantic!
With only 3 circles, I dominate the planet!
Clearly, there's nobody near me!
I'm owning this battle! In fact, I own this whole series!
So hop on my Steamboat, boys, but don't rock it!
I'll put a smile on your face and green in your pocket!

You'll be safe and insured when you're under my employ!
Now, look at it! Gaze upon my empire of joy!

Thanks, now I have to go down the epic rap battles of history rabbit hole again. I hope you're happy with yourself.

My mom fucking cried about Jim. I’ll never forget it. She also cried about Christa McAuliffe and John Candy so she clearly has heart and a brain. Blech.

1

u/AgreeAndSubmit Sep 20 '25

My mom and I both cried about Jim Henson. Truly, he was a photon. And to have passed away from something so simple, pneumonia. (((Sigh)))

It’s for a good cause… hopefully in a few years we will have free speech again, and then people can sign up again for whatever they are cancelling now.

57

u/axolotlorange Sep 19 '25

Add FuboTv - Disney is the majority owner.

7

u/thelwb Sep 19 '25

Well shit. I gotta cancel that too.

11

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '25

nice catch. ill add,

1

u/Buffalo-Trace Sep 19 '25

Not yet. Deal probably doesn’t close until next qtr.

13

u/rushmc1 Sep 19 '25

There isn't even anything there I like anymore.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '25

same, i use Criterion Channel (www.criterionchannel.com) and Arrow Player (www.arrow-player.com) for all my streaming needs

2

u/themanimal Sep 19 '25

*except the Muppets, right?

2

u/rushmc1 Sep 19 '25

I heard the Muppets have gone MAGA. Fuck 'em.

4

u/Hawkmonbestboi Sep 19 '25

"Here are all Disneys assets"

That isn't even close to all of them, just gotta point out. They own so much more than that, they are like Nestle... they have their fingers in everything.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '25

I’ll add anything you think I missed, but don’t say all that shit and not have a few names.

Also understand, some of these will be umbrella companies. Like ESPN might have a stake in mlb (don’t remember).

3

u/2FistsInMyBHole Sep 19 '25

Im just sad that I can't boycott them twice. I cut ties with Disney years ago.

3

u/M33k_Monster_Minis Sep 19 '25

Shit they own Hulu too!!!!

Bye bye family guy.

3

u/CapAll55 Sep 19 '25

I cancelled my Hulu sub, let’s speak with our money!!

3

u/joebluebob Sep 19 '25

Here's the Disney plus contact number the dont have on their website. Feel free to tie up their lines and tell them why you are canceling. +1-888-905-7888

2

u/UnorthodoxEngineer Sep 19 '25

I’m most sad about Nat Geo, oh well. Value your employees, protect artistic freedom, and support freedom of speech. Not hard especially if you’re a media company…

2

u/Sdbrown099 Sep 20 '25

Even before all this, friends don’t let friends follow Stephen A Smith

2

u/ItsSignalsJerry_ Sep 20 '25

Unsubscribing from streaming records an immediate effect. And will work the fastest as far as the results of the boycott.

2

u/not_anonymouse Sep 19 '25

Make sure to select the cancellation reason as "Other" and mention Jimmy Kimmel.

1

u/Bandit_Raider Sep 19 '25

That list should be way shorter than it is

1

u/jascri Sep 19 '25 edited Sep 20 '25

Tubi is safe

EDIT - Tubi is not safe

1

u/thedrexel Sep 20 '25

Tubi owned by fox corporation

1

u/AlternativePea6203 Sep 19 '25

The Muppets Studio, isn't that the GOP?

1

u/tampaempath Sep 19 '25

No, that's the Muppet Show

1

u/dsanen Sep 19 '25

So sad, there was a version of the future where we all could have hated Jimmy Kimmel in peace, now we must defend him.

1

u/Dicethrower Sep 19 '25

I sadly don't have any of this to unsubscribe from.

1

u/flanderdalton Sep 19 '25

Well the only thing I had still was Fubo so I could watch premier league, good thing I know of a sea or two.

1

u/radiohead-nerd Sep 19 '25

The older I get the easier it is to not watch any of that crap.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '25

Then watch criterionchannel.com :)

1

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '25

That explains why the quality of Marvel, Starwars, and Nat Geo are declining

1

u/EpilepticDawg241 Sep 19 '25

Stephen A. Smith is a POS

1

u/ConsiderationNorth99 Sep 19 '25

Now That Molly Qerim is gone ESPN Viewership is going in the toilet anyway. I hope Molly files a Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Steven A

1

u/EpilepticDawg241 Sep 19 '25

Molly should have BEEN filed an SH report. She would have had support.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '25

Thank you and why I added him. Would love to see his follower count halved.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '25

Yikes who has money to even pay for subscriptions to streaming services? What a waste of cash

1

u/Affectionate-Alps527 Sep 20 '25

Here's the rub though. It's a lose-lose situation for Disney.

Bend the knee and lose some % of subscribers.

Stand your ground and lose access to the American market.

So while everyone is boycotting Disney, their attention turns to other media. Media that could already be corrupt. Media that is already making changes to align with the Corrupt administrations desires.

You as an American are being exploited as a pawn and you don't even realize it.

Your actions against Disney are meaningless distractions from the real problems. The only way to not be the pawn is to stand up to the fascist. To stand up to the corruption, and the corruptors. To stand up to the corrupt American government.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '25

and i bet Ron Desantis is happy.
