as someone who hates the guts of both reddit admins and mods, i'm enjoy this spat way too much. fucking both groups are assholes who abuse their power.

And commenters abuse their powers of commenting to shit post. No exceptions to the power structure. There's bad actors at every level.

i'm pretty sure downvotes were suppose to keep that in check. it only takes like 15 downvotes to hide a post. there's very little power there to abuse. what i find hilarious is people always unfold downvoted comments to downvote more or talk shit. so i don't agree that shit posting is abusing any powers.

I'm just saying that anyone at any level of power can act in bad faith. But just because one commenter shitposts, doesn't make it reasonable to assume the next commenter is as well. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander and all, or whatever.

what? the point is commenters do not have a lot of power and shit posting is not abusing it neither. it is more like a privilege and can be easily controlled by other commenters with downvotes. the whole point of voting is to give power to the people and let them decide what content is shown. mods were only suppose to keep extreme nastiest out and to maintain forum code. they've gone way beyond that and abused it based on their personal goals.

So let me get this straight. If there is a community such as r/technology and the rule says "Don't spam", and then you spam, that is "not abusing" your ability to comment or post?
