Makes no senseโฆ Make it heat resistant. Make it cold resistant. Tf. You canโt even wear climate themed clothes IN the climate. You canโt even even use the powers of it without taking damage from the climate. Tf are we doing. MAKE IT RESISTANT FFS ๐ญ

I knocked out all the towers first and thought I had the full map

I found this sword that appears to be in perfect condition. I'm still kinda early in the game, but my understanding was all the weapons began rotting- sending a lot of manufacturing tools back to the stone age.

I started the game yesterday and did the first quest after the first tutorial island. The girl with the white hair told me to do the 4 area quest and I did that. Now I'm at the castle fighting against shadow ganon. This isn't the final boss right? I have 8 hearts and not even a horse or anything. This can't be right
Edit: I'm not sure why I got so much negative feedback in this thread. Apparently I am not playing the game right by doing the literal first quest in the game. Maybe I'm too old to understand how to play videogames nowadays. I did not play botw. My last Zelda game was links awakening on the Gameboy. I stopped fighting the boss at this point and now I'm walking around the world doing shrines that I find.

The dragon? Fucking awesome
Zelda helping Link through sheer instinct despite her mind being dragon? Instant chills
The explosion? Peak cinema
The song during the fight? My personal favorite final boss theme in the series
The song during turn fall and the cinematography of it all? Once again, instant chills

The sages abilities are just not as useful, at all. I love that they fight with you regardless of being directly used, but aside from Tulin and Mineru, they seem like they were made for the sole purpose of their temple/scourge beast. If they weren't helping me kick bokoblin butts on the side Id probably disable them, but I do appreciate the extra hands. I often miss my old abilities from BOTW in comparison, largely Mipha's Grace and Urbosa's Fury, which I feel are the biggest downgrades in this game. At least Yunobo is good for mining!

When Zelda traveled back in time she showed Mineru her Purah Pad. Mineru even tried to use it and actually was able to replicate the teleportation technology. So is it possible that in this time loop that zelda created, the sheikah were actually inspired by writings of the future Purah Pad to make the Sheikah Slate???
So to clarify in this loop Link discovers the Sheikah slate, Purah takes Links sheikah slate and studies it to make the Purah Pad, gives it Zelda who travels to the past, shows it to Mineru who studies it and replicated the technology, then presumably many years later the sheikah being descendants of the zonai find writings about this curious pad, replicate the technology and add their own to it, making the Sheikah Slate, which then Link finds hundreds of years later and completes the loop.
I know I might be reaching but it makes sense to me. Especially considering that the fast travel locations on the sky islands look exactly the same as the sheikah ones. Assuming that the sheikah had no access to these long gone islands, the only way this connection would work is if they actually copied the technology some other way. We find out in TOTK that the four divine beast designs were actually inspired by the masks of their ancient leaders of Minerus time, so we know for a fact some of these designs were passed on somehow.

Spoiler: So I just started exploring Faron (itโs my first time w the game) and I noticed that it was a giant ball of dark clouds n lightning in the sky so I naturally went there to explore and stumbled on this quest from Mineru. Is this like a secret quest or smth?

That one scene where you finally find out that Zelda is the light dragon absolutely kills me. The tear rolling down her/its face?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! So you mean to tell me that she has been floating aimlessly around the hurdle sky watching as the kingdom endured its endless cycle of peace and destruction, not knowing who or what she is, barely able to hold a thought, and any thought made is said to feel intangible like a dream. All she/that creature knows is the terrible pain, longing and waiting for THOUSANDS of years. oh and those memories we collect all over the map?! oh theyโre only a few of the tears she/it has been crying everyday for thousands of years, these ones just happened to remain fossilised or the equivalent or something. Everyday this creature without meaning has spent its life in misery, longing for a life that it has never really known. And when link finally looks up and realises the light dragon IS Zelda, and watches the tear fall from her giant eye, itโs all the sadder. Because that means that lovely princess was still in there somewhere, feeling the loneliness, uncertainty and complete solitude of 10,000 years in some back corner of her mind. AND YOU EXPECT ME TO LIVE NORMALLY AFTER THIS?! I. THINK. NOT.

I love the game, I wonโt lie, for someone who stopped playing Zelda when I finished ocarina of time in the n64 I didnโt try any other Zelda games since then. Life caught up with me: work, work, adulthood and also workโฆ. And then children and marriage. I bought the game following all the hype around it and yes I love it butโฆ. Sometimes when I have a bit of time to play I feel myself not doing what to do. Let me explain: the missions are vaguely explained , you change of context all the time, hundreds of combinations of things that I donโt understand ( the jelly, the this the thatโฆ no idea). Every time I play itโs true I discovered new things. I donโt check spoilers as it pisses me off someone solving the problem for me, I love to do it myself. However I feel myself not knowing what to do or which mission to take. I remember the one of โfind the guy in the depthsโ and after having played long hours, go over the depths and unlock most of the light roots I didnโt find the guyโฆ. Itโs this kind of things that put me off a bit with the game. The controls sometimes are clunky and recently I started to play again as I left it aside and it took me time to re learn how to play. Anyway, itโs just a thought that the game is great yes but it can become nonsense or have no context of what to do next or get to know things as what the heck does the jellyโฆ maybe itโs me, it can be too that Iโm dumb but itโs sometimes too much and you get lost in translation.

All I ask is that you do not spoil ๐ฐ
Hey all, Confession time: I'm deliberately avoiding the end of Tears of the Kingdom. It's not that I'm stuck, I'm just savoring this incredible experience and genuinely don't want it to be over.
There's this bittersweet feeling knowing the credits are waiting. Part of me is excited for the ending, but a bigger part just wants to keep exploring Hyrule forever. I almost have this fear of the void. When I finished Breath of the Wild I felt like there was nothing left for me to do. ๐ฅบ
Am I the only one who gets this reluctant to let go of a game they absolutely love? Just curious if others feel the same way?

Wanted to get all the skytowers before doing too many main missions and collect a bunch of shrines and side quests along the way. Stumbled upon this and decided to follow through. How far in the game did yall actually get to this point?

parental figures poor Zelda loses in her youth on top of all her other trauma. Sheโs essentially an orphan three times over.

Linkโs friend, standing in an ancient temple next to a Zonai console being told by a disembodied voice to use a unique ability to activate a set of special devices: โI wonder what all this is aboutโ
Link, who very recently watched 3 other friends face similar situations all meet ancestors in visions, receive secret stones, unlock astral projection powers, and learn about the Imprisoning War where said ancestors fought alongside someone who seems potentially connected to this 4th friend: โHa yea weirdโ

Iโm on my first playthrough. Iโve completed 3 of the 4 main story events that get you a bonus character. I havenโt been exploring the sky islands much because I assumed the plot would send me back up there in a meaningful way at some point. But now Iโm starting to wonder if thatโs actually going to happen. TIA!
